Weather.com says it's currently 23 degrees outside here, and feels like it's 10. I'd believe it. It was windy and chilly when I went out to hack the pony at 2, and he was Not Happy at having his blankie pulled off to be ridden. He sucked it up once he realized we were going out, and that he was getting treats.
Came back home, cleaned up, and headed out to finish my Christmas shopping. Well, sort of. I mean, I finished it, but somehow ened up spending $100 at Nordstrom Rack, only a third of which went towards buying the fuzzy bathrobe for Mom I went in to buy. The problem was that they had the good CK bras I like for $13, and they don't always have them, so I have to get them when they do. Oh, and black pants, because you can never have too many pairs of those. At least I managed to avoid the expensive yet beautiful Tesori pants I really, really loved. I need to stop going in Nordstrom Rack, because I don't think I've ever left there without spending far more than I intended when I went in the door. Since I about froze to death pumping gas (I didn't have a coat because I was just running in and out...) I rewarded myself with hot and spicy food from Chipotle. How did I never eat there before moving here? Their barbacoa tacos with the spicy salsa are to die for. Mmm. Nothing says fun on a December night like Mexican food and the BBC World News. I am that much fun.
No! I get more fun! I watched An Inconvenient Truth this evening, too. Given what I spend the majority of my time watching (boring lectures by politicians that often include stupid Power Point presentations) I was not expecting to be terriby engaged by Al Gore and his slide show, because Al Gore is boring. The movie was surprisingly interesting.
