End of the Year Approching....

Ok, so now we're getting close to the end of the year. I have a little more than a week left at my current job (which ends Christmas Eve). This of course means that I need to be looking for a new job. Today my original plan was that I'd go wander around Nashua jobhunting. That kinda fell apart when I couldn't get my body to wake up enough to function at 9am. Then again, there are times when one just frickn' needs a day off. Right? So instead of wandering around Nashua looking for a job, I'll be editing my resume, jobhunting online, and doing things that need doing around the house. Probably a good thing. 8 hours of jobhunting (because I'd not have a ride home until 5) would probably be pretty stressfull. Since it's not quite an IMMEDIATE concern (I do have a bit of money left), I'm holding off on doing that this week. Next Wednesday, however, I'll spend tromping around Nashua looking for a job. Anyone have any ideas? I need something entry-level, probably not retail (though I have LOTS of experience running cash registers). I'm good with phones and very friendly. I've had some college, but do not possess a degree (only a Massage Therapy certificate, and I'm in the process of getting my licence but don't have it yet). I also don't posess a car.
The trouble right now is mostly financial. I have bills that need to be paid (I haven't paid my cell phone bill yet), and loans that've gone into repayment (or are going into repayment), and no idea what to do about xmas presents for anyone, and I also have to cover things like exam fees. Oh, and I have NO credit. Which certainly doesn't help much at all.
Issues with getting around are highly unhelpful. I live outside the bus area, and so I need to rely on others for transportation at the moment. Shaun doesn't like shopping, and my other roomies tend to be difficult to get hold of. I need to go to the bank, and I forgot a couple things I need at the grocery store (for tomorrow). I also need to borrow a pan from my mother. I also need to go jobhunting, but my available times are rather restricted. I suppose I should probably try to get a waitressing job. I'd like to switch into something like clerical, though, if I could.
I'm waiting on a letter from the NCBTMB in order to schedual my national exam--I have GOT to work some study time into everything I'm doing for the next few weeks. I also need some hands-on practice to prepare for the state exam I'll take either Jaunary 11th or March 15th. Hopefully the letter'll show up by about this time next week and I can get everything fixed up for my test date. I know everything I need to know, I just need to work on going over it. I don't have any of the test review software, though. So I kinda have to do it on my own. And read through the book to figure out what I need to focus on studying.
I want to get an MP3 player....found one from TigerDirect that's about $35. Trouble is that shipping's expensive right before xmas--so I'll wait until after to get it. I want to be able to listen to things in places besides where my computer is, so that I can study in my room and stay focused in spite of noise around me (aquired noise-cancelling headphones that drown out pretty much everything when you play music on them).
To everyone effected by my bad mood and yelling last night: I'm sorry.
I should get back to working on things....do something more usefull than sit here thinking and typing.

apology, study, job
