Had a fun long Easter weekend involving good friends, good food, and fanboy toys.

Crepes are still yummy. Especially a dessert one with fresh pear slices and chocolate, topped with vanilla ice cream. The Grand Marnier flambe across the table was also impressive. Vegan sushi was interesting, and had some particularly good tempura bits. Ethiopian was also fascinating (no utensils, just thin bread for scooping) and tasty. Also, the Honey Wine was completely amazing.

We went to Japantown. I can pretend I spent the money from my state tax refunds, if I ignore the part where I owed more federal tax than that. The fanboy haul:
- Suikoden V 108 stars artbook
- Porco Rosso book with lots of Miyazaki's manga side-stories
- Piano book for Howl's Moving Castle
- Piano book of random game music, the prizes in which include 5 Suikoden pieces, 3 from Okami, 1 megaman, and a Gradius medley. Also many vaguely different arrangements of FF music I already own.
- Nice big statue of Lunamaria from Gundam Seed
- Vincent action figure from Advent Children
- Tron Bonne and Servbot figure from Capcom's wacky line of tradeshow girl figures
- Cute little FF3DS figure
- Also, akiko got books from Ouran Host Club and You Higuri

And lots of good hanging out. Had conversations about things I hadn't though of for years, like the DaP relationship-web. I'm highly amused that, depending on what you count, I can probably make a path from most of my undergrad suite-mates back to myself by taking a couple dozen hops that go all across the country.
