Close, but not quite
Today I nearly managed to vindicate the shortcut I screwed up completely last time I was out biking, but messed it up in literally the last 200 feet and ended up going through someone's backyard. Ah well, next time. (Eh, except next time I probably won't go anywhere near there, but whatever.)
Anyway, here's todays route. Didn't want to go too too far due to the threat of imminent rain (which thankfully didn't materialize), so I decided to hit up the nearby portion of Duke Forest, which I'd been through parts of before but not very recently. It's nice in there. Also, I evidently never made it to the exit I came out at this time, 'cause there's totally a map posted there. Useful. There's some nice walking trails in it too, but they're a bit hard to get to since there's not really any parking. If I had anyone to bike with, it'd be pretty easy to get there and just lock the bikes to a tree, though.
