Dragon*Con! It was fun as always. Here's a quick run-down from this year...
Guests seen:
Firefly contingent - Nathan Fillion (Mal), Alan Tudyk (Wash), Jewel Staite (Kaylee), I keep forgetting her name (Inara). Their panels were things of beauty.
George Takei (Lt. Sulu / Hiro's Dad). Is awesome. And is having the bestest gay wedding evar soon.
Robert Llewellyn (Kryten). Also awesome. New Red Dwarf special coming up.
Jerry Doyle (Garibaldi), Walter Koenig (Bester / Chekov). Doyle is an asshole, but an entertaining and honest one.
Costumes worn:
Crazy clothes from Harajuku.
The Count (Gankutsuou).
Extra-flamboyant pirate (akiko and skuld talked me into bringing the feather boa).
Awesome friends hung out with:
akiko, anacoluthon, listener ,kipple_n_bits, skuldchan, av3rnus, Phil, Laura, Daniel, and raphaellover (very breifly, but thanks so much for the book pick-up!). And possibly some I'm missing.
Loot acquired:
Two Babylon 5 game books for 90% off, a print from Errant Story, some tiny FFXII toys, a crazy Japanese card game, some Serenity comics.
Price paid for parking:
Too much.
Amount of sleep gotten:
Shockingly close to adequate. But Emergen-C still helps.
Woo, con. Already paid up for next year.
