Since when are free matches a tournament?

"Feel free to show up at the tennis courts whenever you like and play whomever you like"? What the hell. That's not a tournament. I can do that whenever I want. What a rip off.

Whatever. I made a tournament ladder myself, since Tezuka sucks too much to make one himself. )

Tezuka organises it, Tezuka makes the rules.

I'm curious as to which Fuji is #1 and which is #2 according to your table.

Too bad, I hijacked it, I make the rules now.

I don't care, you guys can decide.

Someone's acting half his age. ^_^

I won't lose any sleep over either spot, but seeing as the table is something some random participant came up with and won't hold any bearing on the actual tournament, I don't think that would have been necessary.

Am not.

This table is law now. There's nothing wrong with it, you're just being a dick. Get over yourself.

Akaya, be nice. And don't aggravate Fuji-san anymore, please.

Don't worry, Yanagi-san. It takes far more than that to get to me. ^_^

Still determined to beat me, Akaya? Heh, we'll see. You do realize you still have about ten years to go.

I could kick your ass and you know it, Buchou.

Sadly, I'm going to be leaving you staring at my ass.

There is a reason why you still call me buchou, after all.

Quite confident, aren't you?

I noticed that Tezuka's name is missing. Or is he the top level totally secret seed player?

Duh.

It didn't work out as good with his name on it. It wouldn't really make a difference if he were on it, it'd end the same anyhow. I mean, he's a TEACHER now.

So? I think your chart's a little lopsided and he could even it out. Most of us aren't pros. And even if Tezuka's a teacher now, he was still a pro before.

Anything with me and Yukimura and all you guys on it at the same time is gonna be lopsided.

Yeah, how many years ago was that?

I decided this was a better way to test everyone's current skill levels than having set opponents. This way everyone would have an equal chance. The outcomes of these matches will be used to determine an actual structure if another tournament is held in the future.

However, if anyone has a better suggestion, by all means suggest it.

Perhaps it could have a round robin structure, like our old ranking matches but with fewer blocks.

That could work.

I still think my way is better.
