Good morning, captain Tezuka, Ryoma greets him quietly yet rather cheerfully, then touches the peak of his white cap lightly, making Kunimitsu (Hello, Echizen) wonder - for the tenth or perhaps even twelfth time this week, he notes - if that is supposed to be a somewhat sarcastic, playful salute, an oddly believable soldier impersonation. Very Echizen-like, Kunimitsu admits, not without barely hidden amusement. Private Echizen, dismissed, Kunimitsu whispers in a meaningfully low voice, no longer resisting the childish temptation, and walks away quickly (yet gracefully, because Tezuka Kunimitsu never hurries) before Ryoma notices a small smirk on the older boy’s lips.
