Got all moved in and stuff, and my roommate, Jenna is wicked awesome. Her parents seemed to have shipped her over with pretty much two boxes of cereal for food supplies, though, so I've been helping to feed her in between free lunch.
Using Corinne's roommate's laptop right now, seeing as about 80% of people on campus can't access the wireless network from their computers. Still, been doing too much to bother going online. Upperclassmen are finally moving in today, but us freshmen have been getting along well. :3 Met a couple of the guys around campus, hung around on an off-campus housing with some upperclassmen and other freshmen, got anti-rape advice from the RAs, and am possibly snagging some bootlegged Open Canvas 4 and a copy of Microsoft Office for the iMac later on. Hell, even the potheads here are nice potheads.
Apparently the stoop on our apartment is "The Stoop" and has become the meeting place of a very large chunk of people, of all ages. It's nice to just hang outside on the steps for hours on end (i.e. Sleep is for Wusses) and joke around while getting yelled at by drunk guys and The Prostitots (13ish-year-old girls who hang around the library across the street and dress skimpily while asking if anyone wants a free lay), and wasting time while waiting for the lunar eclipse by watching mad slug orgies.
Classes don't start 'til thursday, but no class on friday, so it's gonna be odd for a bit. iPod nano finally came in, but I dunno if I'll be able to use that to upload my music on my new iMac once it comes in, seeing as the iTunes might work a little different? No idea.
Oh, and college/institutional mattresses suck.
