Nightmares 5/?

A/N: Right here baby~ I have been tanning. A LOT. Irrelevant information, I know. ┌(;`~,)┐

When Seunghyun woke up he had no idea where he was. The room around him was completely purple with gold curtains that were pulled back to reveal the blinding rays of sunlight which had woke him up in the first place. He vaguely wondered how drunk he had been last night and where the woman was before he remembered where he was. He was at Jiyong's house. There were apparently vampires after him and so the other man wanted him close by in order to be able to protect him. It made sense. If you were a freak that believed in creatures with long fangs that drained out people's blood and gorgeous young men falling in love with those like Seunghyun, because he sure didn't. He couldn’t even begin to understand why someone like Jiyong would care about protecting him. He didn’t even know what kind of ability he could possibly have that they wanted him for because he never recalled being anything but ordinary. He felt as just another plain human being on this planet but somehow this incident made him feel special even though it sounded strange. It was a nice change of events and he found it strangely exciting compared to his everyday life, and not to mention that this brought that gorgeous man into his life… Speaking of the other man, he still wasn’t really sure how he felt about him though one thing was certain; he didn’t want to let this man out of his life that easily. He wanted to get to know him better, to comfort him when he’s scared, to watch him laugh, to make him smile. He didn’t fully understand these feelings, if they could be called so, and the things they made him want to do. Maybe this was love. That magical feeling he had heard about so many times yet never really experienced himself. Sure he had had girlfriends before, but he had never felt the same around them as he did around Jiyong. There was a difference, being near Jiyong made him feel wanted, protective, and overflowing with tingling sensations just when the other was nearby. He figured that this is what people meant when they said love felt strange. He only had to be more certain of it.

He climbed out of bed and stretched, walking over to the window and staring at the city that stood in the distance, its lights now replaced by the outlines of tall dusty buildings against the sky. He had to admit, this house was quite a catch and he wondered how much this private lot had cost, even in its original condition, not to mention such expensive remodeling. He decided to ask the other what he did for a loving in order to make such money because no ordinary person could possibly earn so much without a PHD or being involved in some shady business. Seunghyun opened the door to his room and walked out into the loft area where he smelled bread being toasted and what something a little like pancakes. Walking into the bathroom he went to the sink where he found a tooth brush along with a small glass and smiled at the other man’s thoughtfulness.

After brushing his teeth and changing back into his clothes he walked down the staircase from the loft and made his way towards the kitchen where he could hear someone moving around and the sounds of music playing from a radio. When he walked inside the kitchen he was greeted by the sight of Jiyong singing to the music while flipping pancakes.

“Take the party down! Oh! Minna de asobi ni ikou~ oretachi to come on let’s go! Natsu daze party time dayo! Oh! Oh! Oh!”

He just stood in the doorway watching the scene before him for a minute before he decided to make his presence known.

“And here you said I would make a good rapper. Listen to your singing.” He whistled and saw the other’s face redden. “I didn’t know you could speak Japanese…” He looked at the smaller man, clearly impressed.

“I couldn’t always, Miku taught me.” He smiled before going back to flipping pancakes. “We spent so much time there when they didn’t have a need for us that I helped him with his Korean while he taught me Japanese.”

“Oh.” Seunghyun didn’t know what else to say. When the conversation suddenly came to the spiky haired man he didn’t know how to handle it. He didn’t think he stood a chance against the other since he had obviously spent more time with Jiyong than he had, and they were obviously close. He didn’t even know what kind of feelings they had for each other but he already felt as if he didn’t stand a chance. He pushed these feelings aside and told himself not to think about it because he wasn't even sure of how the other man felt about him, let alone his own feelings.

"I figured you'd be hungry so I made us breakfast! Here, put this on the table." Jiyong handed him a plate full of big, puffy-looking, western-style pancakes. "My special recipe~ I hope you like them! Plates are in the cupboard to your left by the way." Why did this feel so warm? No one had ever cared about him before so why did this man bother to do it?

"Are you going to get us plates or do you want the pancakes to get cold?" Jiyong put his hands on his hips and frowned. God he looks like a woma- no. Stop it Seunghyun, he's a man just like you. That's why you have to see him as one and not as a romantic interest!

"Hey," A hand waved in front of his face. "Where do you keep going off to? Am I that boring?" The blonde man pouted.

"No, quite the opposite actually..." Seunghyun almost blushed. Almost.

"Oh? Can't stop thinking about me I see~" The other winked playfully.

"In your dreams." Seunghyun stuck his tongue out, trying to fit in with the childish man. He didn't want to admit that he really did think about him, and that he was lying by suppressing his thoughts and feelings.

"Now get our plates and get over to the table!" Jiyong shoved two plates into Seunghyun's hands and helped him navigate over to the kitchen island before turning back to the cupboard and pulling out two mugs. He set the mugs on the counter and picked up a large porcelain teapot from where it sat, by the sink, and poured its contents into both mugs before making his way back to the other.

"Here, I made us some tea as well because eating pancakes dry doesn't sound really appealing." He sat down across from the other and handed him his mug. "How did you sleep last night?"

“I lost consciousness almost right after my head hit the pillow and didn’t wake up until now so I guess that means good. What time is it anyway?”

Jiyong looked at his watch. “Eleven thirty, you didn’t sleep in too late. But you still could have woken up earlier.” He wagged his finger at the older man before taking a sip of his tea. “I won’t always wait for you to wake up so late. By the way, what time do you need to be at work by?”

“Well tonight I work my bartender job so about eight o’clock.” Seunghyun poured maple syrup on his pancakes.

“Then we have tons of time to hit the town today~” Jiyong almost squealed, his eyes lighting up with an almost childish glee. “I am dragging you to some of the best malls and music stores today, and don’t you dare object!”

“What have I gotten myself into?” Seunghyun faked horror. “Well if it makes you happy then sure.” Jiyong looked ecstatic.

Seunghyun took his first bite of the pancake and swore he was in heaven. Where did this man learn to cook like this? It was better than anything he had ever tasted. All of those pancakes at American-style breakfast places around Seoul didn’t even compare. Hell, not even his own mother’s baking ever tasted this good, Seunghyun mentally asked for forgiveness for thinking like that but it was the truth.

“Like them? I hope I didn’t make them too heavy.” The younger’s forehead creased.

“No! I mean, they’re absolutely amazing!” Seunghyun was telling the truth.

“Ah, really?” Jiyong beamed. “Well this is just the beginning! I’m going to cook such good food that you’ll never consider eating anywhere else. I’ll make you put some meat on that skinny frame of yours!” He looked determined so Seunghyun didn’t even try to argue.

Seunghyun used to be overweight and he hated it. He had always loved food but after seeing himself in such a state he wanted to change that and forced himself to take up a strict diet. He disliked being looked at in strange ways because he was fat. He didn’t want to be unattractive and worked out to top it all off. By the time he had come back to visit his family after being away for a year his mother didn’t even recognize him. She fussed over him and asked him if he had been eating enough. She said he looked awfully thin and that it wasn’t good for his health to starve himself and didn’t want him to have malnutrition. He had told her that he was fine and he had only finally gotten into shape and that it was normal for men his age to be around that weight. She had fussed some more before finally telling him to take good care of himself and dropping the topic altogether.

Ever since he had been overweight he had been afraid of showing his body to other people. Even if that meant so much as wearing a thing t-shirt or shorts, he never did it. Anyone who would have seen the way he dressed would have probably just thought that he was a serious man who liked to dress formal. He always wore long pants, even if they were sweats, and baggy shirts that at most, had rolled up sleeves. He disliked the idea of people seeing his body and judging him. He might have been self conscious but this was the only way he felt comfortable in public. Sure he knew that he had lost weight, but he still felt as if the ugliness of it all had not disappeared and he didn’t want those who haven’t seen him before to see its ugly marks engraved on his body and keep on judging him. It was something he didn’t want to feel from the people that he was close to, disgust.

“Are you going to keep on staring at me or are you going to eat your pancakes?” Jiyong’s eyebrow was raised.

“Sorry, it’s just really good.” Seunghyun laughed.

They ate the rest of their meal pretty quickly, making small talk in the meantime. It was noon when Jiyong stuffed all of the dishes into the dishwasher and turned it on before walking back upstairs with Seunghyun. They made their way up to the loft before Jiyong stopped in front of the final hallway to his room.

“I’ll give you ten minutes to get dressed and then we’ll go. Use the time wisely to make yourself look presentable, I can’t have you looking bad in public.” Jiyong grimaced while looking at Seunghyun’s clothes.

Seunghyun brushed his teeth before going into the room that was currently his and picking up his watch off the bedside table and putting it on. He walked over to the mirror that was by the closet and fixed his hair before checking the rest of himself out and determining that it looked alright. What was the other so displeased about? His clothes were fine. He shrugged before walking out into the loft and down the stairs.

Jiyong stood by the front door dressed from head to toe in white. It was so stunning that Seunghyun did a double take before finishing his descent down the steps. He wore a pair of white skinny jeans that hugged his frame perfectly, along with a white shirt and a white leather jacket on top. On his feet was a pair of white Nikes with neon green stripes down the sides.

“You look…good.” Seunghyun could not think of a better word to use in this situation. And if he tried to think of another word he might have come up with something like “delicious” or “mouthwatering” and though those words were pretty appropriate, he knew he shouldn’t say them out loud.

“Thanks, I try.” Jiyong unbolted the front door and walked out.

He closed the door after them and Seunghyun could hear it being locked. They walked down the stairs in almost complete silence with the exception of Jiyong’s whistling and twirling his car keys around his finger. The white Bentley stood parked by the house and its lights flashed when Jiyong pushed the button on his keys, which felt almost like a welcoming gesture even if it was an inanimate object. They climbed into the car with Jiyong in the driver’s seat and Seunghyun occupying the passenger seat, the younger started the car and they began their way down the drive. Seunghyun looked out the window and saw that the land around the mansion was a clearing above what looked like a small forest that surrounded the hill as well as the road down. As they went through the forest Seunghyun could see the light of the sun that shone through the light foliage and lit up the forest with different shades of green. It looked so wild and beautiful, this whole place was otherworldly, just like its owner, Seunghyun thought as he looked over at the driver of the car. Jiyong was wearing shiny silver shades that made his eyes impossible to see and his blonde hair was swept off to the side, he looked ahead as he maneuvered down the road and Seunghyun thought that he had never seen a woman as beautiful as this man.

They drove in silence away from the private lot and into downtown Seoul, where Jiyong navigated the streets quickly and with ease, dodging traffic as he went. By the time the car stopped they were deep in the heart of the city and the noise surrounded them when Jiyong opened the door.

“We’re here~” He announced before flouncing away from the car, oblivious to the crowd that it had drawn.

They were parked in front of a tall building that seemed to be made completely from glass; its upper parts reflected the sunlight and made it blinding to look at. Above the glass doors there was a sign that said the names of a few boutiques that were located inside the mall and what little eating places there were. Seunghyun realized that he had never been here before and it wasn’t much of a surprise since he wasn’t one for shopping. Before Seunghyun could ogle the area more Jiyong had grabbed his wrist and pulled him into the building.
Inside there were stores all around the perimeter of the mall and a big fountain stood in the middle that wasn’t occupied by stores. People walked everywhere from one store to another, around inside of the stores or sat by the fountain. Seunghyun looked up to see many floors in the building, connected by escalators and surrounded by stores. The railings and doorways into the stores were all made of glass and the dim lights that accented the walkways made the overly clean glass glow from their light. He turned back to Jiyong with his mouth hanging open.

“What? You’ve never been here before? This is one of the best malls in Seoul! You really are hopeless. Now let’s see…fourth floor I think?” He thought out loud before walking away as though in a trance and Seunghyun had no other choice but to follow.

They rode the escalators up to the fourth floor where Jiyong got off and turned right, walking to the corner before turning and walking into a store. When Seunghyun got closer he could see that the sign above the glass entryway said “Gmarket” in blue with a green letter g.
Jiyong had waltzed through the door of the store and disappeared inside by the time Seunghyun walked in. He stared, amazed at the large amounts of clothing racks and the items on them. He stared walking by the small isles, looking for the blonde man and was surprised by all the items they carried. They were cute yet serious, stylish and wild, it really did seem like the kind of store Jiyong would shop at. He continued walking until he reached an isle that was filled with brightly colored apparel of all sorts that had random eccentric patterns printed on them, it looked interesting and he stopped to look at them, browsing through the rainbow colored masses of fabric until he came across a pair of pants that were made with camouflage-like splashes of green, orange, red, and pink. They looked silly at first glance but he fell in love with their lively nature and vibrant colors. He didn't care what people would think of him wearing them, he just wanted them. Badly.

Jiyong came skidding to a halt in front of the isle where he was standing and panted.

"There you are! You fell behind and I couldn't find you. Now let's go look at real clothes." Jiyong grimaced at the pants Seunghyun was holding.

"What's wrong with these?" Seunghyun questioned.

"Everything. That just screams "tacky". Ugh.." The younger made another disgusted face. "Why on earth would anyone wear those?" He pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and pointer finger while squeezing his eyes shut.

"I don't know about you, but I want to try these on." Seunghyun smiled and Jiyong almost melted.

"Okay okay, but let's go look at some decent clothing first." He led Seunghyun two isles over where there were countless polo shirts, dress shirts, blazers, khaki pants, shorts, vests and sweaters. Everything was crisp and fresh looking with a touch of the wild side in everything with their design and clean cut shapes.

"Now let's make a seriously sexy, formal man outta you!" Jiyong looked determined. "I swear you'll like this. Just let me do what I do best and you'll see... I'll make you into a walking sex god." Seunghyun tried hard not to blush at these words. This man really seemed to be a fashion freak but he let himself go along with it.

After about ten minutes Seunghyun had his arms filled with various jackets and shirts in different colors and before him stood a smiling Jiyong.

"Now go try these on! I'll tell you which things go well together and you try!" His smile looked devilish and Seunghyun let himself be pushed towards the dressing rooms. Once inside, Jiyong grabbed the items out of his arms and matched a few things and handed them to the taller man.

"Here, this first." And with that he shoved the other into a stall and closed the door.

Seunghyun looked at what he was holding, a white dress shirt along with a navy blazer and navy slacks. Innocent enough, he sighed. After successfully putting the clothes on he looked in the mirror he frowned before being interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Are you ready yet?" Seunghyun opened the door to Jiyong tapping his foot on the ground. "Thank god. I thought you'd died in there. Now get over here do I can see you." He pulled the other man out from behind the door. "Decent. But too...I don't know. It just doesn't suit you." Jiyong handed him the next batch of clothes. "Go on."

This time he hurried putting his clothes on. It might have sounded weird but he didn't want this man displeased with him. Considering he might just be into him. He opened the door this time to a surprised looking Jiyong.

"Wow that was fast."

"I didn't want to keep you waiting." Seunghyun smiled. "How does it look?"

The outfit consisted of a gray dress shirt this time along with a royal-looking, purple blazer and black slacks.

"Wow." Jiyong looked lost for words. "I mean seriously, just wow. You're attractive as it is but these clothes just accentuate it even more." Seunghyun wondered if he was hearing right because he swore the other had just called him attractive. "No seriously. You look sexy as hell in purple. And those pants make your legs look even longer..." Jiyong gave a smile, obviously satisfied with his own work. "Now go change back, we're getting those."

"What? I don't even have enough money on me to pay for all this.."

"When did I ever say you were paying?" Jiyong flashed him a smile and waved a gold credit card in front of his face. Before the other could protest he was shoved back into the dressing room.

Having changed back into his own clothes, and taken those with him he followed the other out of the dressing rooms. They had just taken two steps out of there when Jiyong froze.

He stared ahead in a way that had Seunghyun scared before skipping towards a large display of ties and running back to Seunghyun with a purple tie.

"Look at it! It's perfect!" He brought it up to the purple blazer Seunghyun was holding. "They're the exact same color even! I think this was a match made in heaven!" Before Seunghyun could fully contemplate the meaning of the other's words he was already gone, dumping the load of clothes at the cash register and telling the flustered looking clerk behind it to give him another minute. He skipped by Seunghyun and motioned for him to follow.

Seunghyun walked into an isle where he saw Jiyong standing by a pair of bright purple skinny jeans and staring at them as if they would eat him.

"You know, you should just try them on." Seunghyun's voice seemed to startle him.

"I guess I will." He took them off of the hook and went over to the dressing rooms. Seunghyun watched him go, purple skinny jeans in hand and his blonde hair bouncing when he realized he was still holding on to those brightly colored jeans he'd found. He shrugged before finding himself a dressing room and going to try them.

He bad just opened the door and walked out when he ran into someone else and stumbled back.

"Ow." He looked up to see Jiyong in those bright purple jeans smiling at him sheepishly.

"What do you think?" The jeans hugged his curves and made his legs look rounder, fleshier, touchable... Seunghyun caught himself there, not wanting to seem like a creep and coughed.

"You look really good. It makes your legs look nice."

"Pfft! What kind of a complement is that? Ah whatever. I'll take them." He looked at Seunghyun before bursting out laughing. "Oh god! Those are funny! You should really get those!" Seunghyun went back into the dressing room. They weren't funny... He thought the looked good. He looked at himself in the mirror once more, pretty good, he thought.

He met Jiyong back at the cash register and he paid for their stuff before grabbing the bags and walking out.

"Now we should go to the shoe store!" And once more they were off to another store.

After spending about half an hour trying on shoes in the store and being satisfied with their findings, Jiyong purchased a pair of gold Nikes for Seunghyun and a pair of baby blue Adidas for himself and walked out of the store beaming. Just when Seunghyun thought he couldn't take another store Jiyong's phone rang. He picked the sleek white and silver touch screen out of his pocket before answering it.

"What is it, Miku?" Seunghyun's stomach twisted at the mention of the short man.

"What?! Talk slower, I can't understand you!" Jiyong listened before angrily exchanging words in quick Japanese and stuffing his phone back into his pocket.

"It's not safe here." He growled and grabbed the taller man's hand, dragging him down the escalators and out of the mall.

Out on the street Jiyong looked around as though something might jump out at him and attack. Once he deemed the surroundings safe he pulled Seunghyun towards the Bentley, shoving their shopping bags in the trunk and walking around to the driver's side. Seunghyun barely had time to get in the car and fasten his seatbelt before the other was already fluidly steering out into traffic while slipping on his sunglasses. When they were out in the street the blonde man hit the accelerator, causing Seunghyun to hold on to his seatbelt tightly. The people on the streets stared at the speeding expensive car and the older was glad that the windows were tinted. After another few minutes of silence and fast driving his curiosity got the better of him and he decided to ask.

"What exactly happened?"

"The police found a body." Jiyong was chewing on his lip, his sharp canines pinching it, almost making it bleed.

"Jiyong, murders happen from time to time. There's no need to freak out about it." The dark haired man tried to reason with him.

"The corpse was completely drained of blood."

A/N: I hope you liked it! ^^; I also hope that it was worth the wait! But I assure you, it was for a good cause, I've been fangirling over Seunghyun like crazy~  I don't know why but I can't seem to work during the day. AT  ALL. Like I just can't function. Not only can I not concentrate, but I seriously have a hard time doing ANYTHING. It's horrible. I don't even know... Only at night can I actually focus on anything .-. I swear I'm a vampire myself... does anyone else get that or is it just me? *sigh* Also I think that my mother has developed a total fancrush on Gackt. I didn't think it was possible but apparently it is .___. btw if you haven't seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMkV4I2r4YM&list=FL50r3vGIqe3Q&index=13 then WATCH IT.
