Brewed Awakening
I've come to the conclusion that I really don't like Starbucks.
Granted, I didn't really like Starbucks all that much before. But the wonderful thing about Berkeley is that you can go to real cafes and study. Places where you can order a huge Italian soda on a hot day, make small talk with the owner, and get asked whether you're learning Greek or Russian by fellow patrons looking at the book over your shoulder. I don't think you could pay me to do my homework at Starbucks.
Aside from the cafes, I think I'll also miss the lunches with (most of) the people from my Russian class. Over the past four days we've had deliciously greasy pizza, crepes, Dim Sum, and Vietnamese. All without breaking the bank. Or taking the T into Boston.
Figures that as soon as I actually have a car, I won't need to drive it anywhere.
