Unsolved Mystery: Case of the 'F' Word Gift

Jun 03, 2005 22:42

Background:
My mom went shopping recently and she didn't come home empty-handed.  She got me a couple of tops but ONE top in particular caught my attention and I wondered if it was an intentional gift or not.

Clues:
It was cheap.
My mom bought it because she thought it was pretty.
She could pronounce the word correctly.

Mystery?
Does my mom even know what the word mean?  I mean, this is the same mom that keeps mixing up the words bandaid and headband or fever and fiber.  For example, she would go "Go find a bandaid to put in your hair!" or "You don't eat healthy, you need to eat a lot fever.  It is good for you!"  *sighs* I guess i'll never know the answer.

So guys and gals, any ideas on what my mom might have been thinking?  Suggestions?
