According to Virgil in the Aeneid one of the things that lead to the downfall of Troy was the failure to adhere to the warning "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts." Eh...today, I failed to recognize some...now that I think about it...blatantly obvious warnings which led to a world of pain.
1. My mom bought me a dress. I don't wear dresses much and already have a couple of dresses in the closet. Anyways, not ONLY was it a dress, it was in my favorite color AND it wasn't on sale. That should've been my first warning.
2. Mom kept on saying that I need to look nicer. My second warning.
3. The fact that she was holding a lot of thread, powder and a tweezer. This should've been the final warning and I should've ran as far as I could from her. She dumped a lot of powder on my face, wielded the threads like scissors AND decided that my high forehead should be shown so she ended up tweezing some eyebrows & baby hair.
In the end...face felt like it was on fire, I had to dump 3 layers of healing lotion on my face and now...hours later...it's still hurting! *sighs*
Today's lesson: Should the first 3 warnings ever be ignored at least MAKE SURE THE EVIL-DOER WEARS THE REQUIRED CORRECTIVE LENSES BEFORE ALLOWING ANYTHING REMOTELY SHARP NEAR YOU!
