But when he foolishly borrowed a big sum of money and unable to pay it, he decides to play the role of Kamenashi Koji, a friend of his who died in an accident and claim his inheritance. However, he has to convince Kamenashi Kazuya, Koji’s younger brother to let him in the family before he kills the young man off.

The storm is over.

Mariko is sent to prison. One down, one to go. But Jin is not entirely sure if he still wanted to get rid of Kazuya. He's torn, he's been having conflicting issues. Yes, he'd been so confident that he wouldn't bluff his cover but when he saw Matsumoto's main man closing in on Kazuya doubt clouded the sharp eye in his minds. He sure isn't scared of what Matsumoto can do to him but he is scared with what Matsumoto can do to Kazuya. The boy is innocent but now that Jin is connected with him, Matsumoto will surely exploit this advantage. Afterall, Matsumoto is twice as ruthless as he is. He's vowing to protect the boy, but first he must cut all ties with him loose.

In the morning, Kazuya was released from the hospital. They returned to the estate to rest some more. The recent events has caused stress and in the young boy's mind and he needed to have time to think about something else other than Mariko trying to kill him.

The chamomile tea that Haruka served was still warm and smelled good. Jin had ordered Haruka to brew the tea and bring it out into the garden. He wanted to have tea with Kazuya under the flower trailed trellis surrounded by specks of colors and lush greens. This is where Jin wanted Kazuya to be: the gardens to ease the tension in one's mind.

Haruka, now taking over Mariko's position, led the young master to where Jin sat. She led Kazuya to sit in a wooden chair with big cushions. Jin sipped his cup of tea as he quietly surveyed Kazuya who was looking a little pasty. He watched as Haruka led the young boy's hand to where his own cup was set before leaving the two of them to their own devices.

The sound of shaking china  made Jin narrow his eyes. He observed how the young boy's hands shook as he took the cup to wards his lips. He watched the young boy spill some of the drink before he put his own cup to reach out and help Kazuya.

"He said that you were not my brother." Kazuya spoke in a quiet tone, his head bowed. "He said that he killed Koji and that he has evidence."

"You're believing the words of a man you have not even known all your life?" Jin asked, pretending to sound aghast at what Kazuya said.

"I'm not accusing you but..."

"But what? You believe someone else over me? I'm hurt!"

"There are things that cannot be seen that I can see...I can feel. Is there ever honesty with the words you spoke to me?"

Jin made a sidelong glance, watching as the boy scrunched his face in complete helplessness out of the corner of his eyes. Oh how he wanted to change everything! This...everything was not going according to his plans but...something is preventing him from doing anything about the situation he is in. Something...someone.

"In due time...Kazu, in due time."

The night was quiet and the breeze stirred calmly. Jin was smoking a cigarette outside the balcony while holding a glass of brandy in the other. His thoughts were now running low and the wild roller coaster emotions he felt earlier slowing down. Staring up at the night sky, he watched the stars glitter against the inky black sky. As he stared at them, an image flashed before his eyes: it was Kojiro's. The smile was unmistakable. But what the fuck is his image doing flashing in front of him? Fuck.

Jin took a hit at his cigarette before going back inside the house. In the morning, everything will be better. He's going to make this last until the end. He was, afterall, buying his time.

In the morning, a scuffle broke out. Kazuya thrashed wildly against Jin. Against his better judgment. Sure he was confused, but Jin was his brother - or so he thought.

"You're gonna come with me whether you like it or not!"

"No! I will not! What makes you think I will come with you? I could die without even knowing you -"

"The fuck you are talking about?! We're gonna  go see the fucking doctor and fix you're fucking eyes so I will not be hounding your ass for the rest of your fucking life, you hear me!"

A horrified gasp echoed followed by a slap. It was Nao.  Jin looked beside him and stared at Nao.

"What old man? You want a piece of me?" Jin challenged the old man, tossing his head and pushing the man.

"Who are you really? Are you still Koji or are you someone else? How dare you speak words like that to your brother? He's your brother? Did all the running away do this to you? Did you become a scum on the streets? What a shame, your parents must be rolling in their graves."

With those words, Nao left the room, signalling Haruka to follow him with the young master in tow.

Jin stood in silence. Another cover blown. If Kazuya had not been stubborn that morning, he wouldn't have blown his top. The stress was coming out to get him. This is all about Matsumoto and the Mariko incident that's making him anxious and uneasy. Damn. He turned around and found himself facing the mirror. Jin smirked at himself before smashing his fist against his reflection. Damn it is.

He needed to get away. And so Jin drove out to the estate to be with his friends and with the girls he left behind. Time to unwind.

Jin did not return after a month and Kazuya stood waiting for him to come home outside his bedroom window everyday without fail.

And when Jin did return, it was already dawn. The estated quietly asleep except for one young man sitting on the sofa, warm blankets wrapped around his almost frail body. The sound of footsteps stirred the young mans thoughts to his consciousness. Kazuya perked up and turned his body to where the sound came from.

Jin stopped at his place. he leaned his body to one side and looked at the boy for the first time after four weeks of not seeing him. The awkward silence enveloped them until Jin cleared his throat.

"I'm sorry." he said, weighing in his words. "I was stupid. I shouldn't have spoken to you like that. I'm such an idiot."

Jin waited for the young boy to respond. He was fidgeting already, anticipating anger and resentment from the boy.

"I missed you." The young boy's reply startled him. Of all possible response he clearly was not expecting this.

"I really missed you. Everyday...I'd always ask myself where are you now? Where did you eat and where did you sleep? I always asked myself if I was unworthy of being loved thats why everybody died and left me alone and God took my eyes. I get scared thinking you're not coming back home anymore...that you were...that you were leaving me for good...I...I..." Kazuya wasn't able to continue speaking as the tears started rolling down his eyes and soon turned into wracking sobs.

Jin hurried to hush the boy, cradling him in his arms and slowly rocking him to calm. "Shh, it's alright...I'm home now, I'm right here beside you...see," Jin took the boy's hands in his and placed it on his face."You can feel me right? I'm here, I'm here...I'm right beside you...not going to leave you again now...I was just being stupid." Jin comforted the boy.

Kazuya cried harder at his words whilst nodding his head "Promise you'll always be with me, take care of me and love me like you always do when we were young. You're always my big brother."

"Yeah...I'm your big brother."
