I shouldn't feel this happy, but right now, it doesn't matter. It's not high happy, or drunk happy. Happy is probably actually the wrong word. Contented, maybe. Relieved. As urged by ampheebian, I went and saw Rats and Cats at Cinema Nova this evening. I actually tried to go to the evening screening of this film last Monday, but it had sold out (perhaps not surprising, if it was in the same cinema - Cinema 11 is pretty tiny). What a difference tonight - only about 12 people in the audience.

The Delusionists with Everything that ever happened, EverNo matter how cool it is that this group has a room at Melbourne Town Hall this year (the festival hub, and 'place to be'), I thought the room itself was a poor fit for this group and their style of sketch comedy, which requires a lot of costume changing ( Read more... )

I was watching the rehearsal tonight, watching the guys work on their monologues with ampheebian, and then watched them run through the second two-thirds of the play. And a thought suddenly struck me.
