And I'm spotting a few things that have been IMMENSELY HELPFUL for percolating on the season 5 finale.

1) Every time you use that icon, I love you more.

2) I really think it's just Not!Jacob impersonating people, because why the fuck else would they have spent so much time showing us Jacob Visits Everyone, Ever in the season finale? (I am telling myself that is why that happened...otherwise, the scenes are too silly and boring to even justify existing.)

3) I basically need to go back and re-watch seasons 1 and 2 as well now, to keep track of everything, ever.

4) HOLY FUCK. Okay so does that mean that when Jack starts hallucinating his dad, and grows a beard and so on, and Hurley is seeing dead people...all of that is Not!Jacob trying to get people to the island, JUST so he can get Locke's body there, JUST so he can impersonate Locke long enough to convince Ben to stab Jacob (I'm assuming the "loophole" in Not!Jacob killing Jacob is that Not!Jacob can get someone ELSE to do it, but that for whatever reason he can only appear as the dead...thus making it hard to get people to believe they're not just fucking crazy when a dead person is telling them to murder someone, let alone someone like Jacob).

5) I forgot to mention this in my post, but I'm pretty sure the symbols that appear in the 108-countdown clock in the hatch when they don't push the button also appear on the walls of the temple, and possibly also in Jacob's little Gay-Ass Loom O' Destiny throw rug or whatever.

6) I maybe would have liked Jacob more if I wasn't like, "will everyone please just stay the fuck away from Dexter's girlfriend Rita's junkie ex-husband Paul?"

I THINK THIS IS EXACTLY IT. I think that:

a) For whatever reason, the flight 815 (or whatever) group is basically caught up in Jacob and not!Jacob's personal war, with Jacob and not!Jacob using them for their own purposes.

b) Flight 815 have actually been working to help not!Jacob the whole time, making them the bad guys.

6) I maybe would have liked Jacob more if I wasn't like, "will everyone please just stay the fuck away from Dexter's girlfriend Rita's junkie ex-husband Paul?"

I KNOW RIGHT. I KNOW. I was dying and my mother and sister couldn't understand why.

Another theory I have: I think Richard Alpert is the captain of the Black Rock.

I was trying to explain to someone who doesn't watch the show how I was kind of "meh" about the finale, and they were like, "well tell me about it!" and I was like "...dude, I have like, six months of deep thinking to do on this. Don't rush me."
