Wow that episode was fantastic. It actually made me more excited about the license than I was last night.
Nick was a really cool contractor and again we are shown that contractors are not all the same breed. I also loved his connection with Hei. Although what happened to Nick at the end was a little confusing. I guess the fragment somehow manifested into Nick's dream somehow.
Although I think the best part of this episode was the role reversales we saw in Hei. In this episode his Hei persona was used on Meena (a human) while his Li persona was used on Nick (a contractor).
Although I know Hei is hot but I have to wonder what Meena saw in him after he was so cold to her. Maybe she likes the bad boys. XD
And while we knew this from episode 6, Hei seems to have an obvious sister complex. Little Hei was so cute though.
And now I am really wondering who Amber is. She looks so much like CC from Code Geass. Well Bones was originally a part of Sunrise.
Now if all the episodes were this great I would definitely want to buy this series. But I think that is the problem with Darker then Black. The quality is so inconsistent. This arc was great. But episodes 7-10 were really meh. The show is definitely better when it focuses on Hei that's for sure.
Now I just have to hope someone will still sub the series but if worst comes to worst I guess I can just download the Raws and rely on blogger summaries. I do this with Saiunkoku after all.
And now I am finally going to watch Denno Coil episode 6. Knock on Wood but so far this series is the consistently best show of the season (both animation and storywise). If only the subs were a little quicker. But I am thankful it is getting fansubbed at least. XD
Edit 2: Romeo and Juliet Episode 12
They better not make Hermione a villain because that is so stereotypical for the "other woman" role. I love that her character is not like that so I would be really pissed if the show goes this predictable route. D:
