Wow Anime Expo
Has the female cast of the Melancholoy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I am not huge fans of them although Aya Hirano is cool but I like how Anime Expo actually goes all out unlike some conventions I know *coughOtakonCough*
Not that I really should complain because I am way more excited about Seki Tomokazu than I would be about Aya Hirano but I still wish Otakon would do something more. I think the last really big thing they did was the L'Arc en Ciel concert in 2004 (My first year was 2005 so I missed this). I realize California is closer to Japan and easier to get Japanese guests but Animemazement which is in NC somehow managed to get about 8 Japanese guests. Otakon is supposedly the largest convention after Anime Expo but it just never feels that way. I mean it's large in attendance but certainly not in events.
And it looks like I am going all alone this year which won't be that fun but oh well. It's an anime convention so I'll entertain myself somehow.
Edit: Well Otakon said they will be announcing more Japanese guests soon. So hopefully they will have some good ones. Though Seki is enough to get me to attend. :)
