Writing From Japan
This is my last night in Japan and since I have to wake up early tomorrow I am staying in the hostel instead of going out. This trip was good and bad. I ended up staying in Tokyo and only going to Kyoto for a day. The good thing is I saw a whole lot of Tokyo and know the city backwards and forward. The bad thing is I really wanted to see more of "traditional" Japan. I saw about 3 sites in Kyoto but did not have time to see anything else (but I did see Kiyomizudera which was the main temple I wanted to see). In Tokyo I saw a lot so I will not get into that now. I also did a lot of anime shopping and found a lot of fun stuff (especially from One Piece). I will do a full trip report after my pictures get developed. I took a lot. Besides pictures of tourist sites I took a lot of pictures of anime advertisements (because I am a dork). XD
Anyways my two friends left early (and this is why I ended up staying in Tokyo). My one friend had a problem with her leg the first night of the trip. We were afraid she had a blood clot so we went to the hospital. Luckily she just twisted it or something but they went home 2 days early (and spent a hell of a lot of money to change the ticket) and to be safe we stayed in Tokyo. But I took a day trip to Kyoto myself yesterday (as I mentioned above).
Oh but one good thing about staying in Tokyo besides really getting to see the city is since I was further South I got to see Sakura bloom here. They weren`t blooming in Kyoto yet but they already started in Tokyo and I would not have been able to see this if I went to Kyoto. ：）But now I want to go back to Japan and base myself in Kyoto.
Anyways I hope everyone enjoyed the FMA chapter (OMG Winry in a Winter coat). I ended up finding Shounen Gangan on a street corner for 100 yen. XD
Edit: Oh and I want to say that surprisingly I did not see a lot of Naruto or Bleach here. It was here of course (in fact Naruto Shippuden is the MCD happy meal) but I actually saw a lot more of Code Geass, Nodame Cantabile and the Death Note movie. All these things had DVDs coming out or just out so I expect this is why. There was a lot of Haruhi Suzumiya too. :)
And on regular TV (since I did not have cable) Rose of Versailles, Lum, Conan, and Maison Ikkoku came on. :)
