Art Book & SUTS

* I couldn't believe it but I already got my FMA Art Book. It is so pretty too. The Animate box is actually more of a slip cover and it only goes over the 3rd Art Book. But it really stands out next to the Black & White first two art books. :)

Overall the collection of pictures was really good: it includes all the calendar images, manga and special book covers, DVD box set covers, video game art, and colored Shounen Gangan pages.

However there were some things left out such as the art for the movie Arakawa did and that awesome picture with every character was unfortunately not included.

There is also a comic at the end where I think Arakawa talks about her child. :)

* Saw the August 2011 Summer Under the Stars Schedule and OMG I am already Salivating in anticipation.

First of all they have my 3 favorite classic actors ALL on the schedule: Grant, Stewart, & Bogart but admittedly I've seen most of their movies. The real excitement is for actors that I am intrigued by but have not seen a lot of their work yet.

The Pretty Cool

Carole Lombard (Representing 1930's)
Joan Blondell (Representing Pre-Codes)
Lucille Ball (just because I have not seen a lot of her work besides I Love Lucy)

Hip Hip Hooray

Ronald Colman (with some of his silents)
Conrad Veidt (with some of his silents)

The Downright Amazing

Lon Chaney (TCM always has one silent star on the schedule and what a perfect choice)
Jean Gabin (first foreign star of SUTS and one I actually requested.....so excited about this. Not only is there a lot of his films I have not seen I will finally get to record Pepe Le Moko and La Bete Humaine, two of my favorite French Films).

foreign film, tcm, hagaren
