Legally Streaming Anime Recommendations
So the other day I discovered Princess Tutu (dub) is amazingly streaming legally on youtube.
So I went to look and see what else is on there and there is an amazing selection. I mean what an absolute complete turn around from a few years ago. Do you remember when youtube first started it was a haven for fansubs but then copyright police took everything down. Now look at how many series are up legally (and in much better quality than those old fansubs).
Unfortunately I am pretty sure these are only available to US Residents (possibly Canada) while I do think it is cool these legal streams exist I do wish they were available to everyone. I am sorry about that. :(
But here is a small selection of what is available on Youtube &/or Hulu:
Baccano (Mostly Sub but a few dubbed episodes)
Casshern Sins (Sub)
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo (you need to sign up to see this so not sure if its sub or dub)
Ghost Hunt (Sub Mainly, but a few dub episodes)
Gurren Lagann (dub)
Hikaru no Go (Sub)
Honey and Clover (Sub)
Monster (dub)
Nodame Cantabile (Dub...I didn't even know there was a dub for this. Not sure if it's a good dub or not. :O)
Now And Then Here and There (dub unfortunately, not a big fan of it) Warning: Implied Rape and Torture depicted in this series
Ouran High School Host Club (Sub & Dub)
Rurouni Kenshin (Weird Dub...It's not the original dub that was on CN. Kenshin sounds the same but many of the other voices sound different. Plus they call it Samurai X ugh).
Slayers (Dub)
Slayers Next (Dub)
Funimation Also have the first 4 episodes of Mushishi up on Hulu (dub). Although it's not the full series Mushishi is episodic so you can enjoy just these 4 episodes. Not to mention this series is amazing, it's my absolute favorite anime series.
Oh and Cross Game (sub) my favorite anime of 2009-2010 for sure.
There are many more series than the above streaming but these are just some I watched and enjoyed (some more than others of course). I also don't necessarily like all the dubs up there but better a dub than nothing at all.
