I also snuck in anime review down at the bottom :)

Anime of the Year
Natsume Yuujinchou

Runner Ups
Kaiba
Chi's Sweet Home (I finally finished all 104 episodes and it was adorable)

Best Sequel
Nodame Cantabile Pari Hen (I still have 2 episodes left but that isn't going to affect this)

Best Couple
Tie
Nodame/Chiaki from Nodame Cantabile
Kaiba/Neiro from Kaiba

Best Platonic Couple
Shery/Ranka from Macross Frontier (okay yeah I sort of ship them romantically but I am talking canon here)

Best Opening Song
Lion from Macross Frontier

Best Ending Song
Natsu Yūzora from Natsume Yuujinchou (it is so calming)

Best OST
Macross Frontier (this was unfair competition)

Best Seiyuu Performance
Kamiya Hiroshi as Takashi Natsume in Natsume Yuujinchou (I seriously love when he uses his softer voice...also see Takemoto in H&C)

Best Ongoing Series
Casshern Sins (I also really like Mouryou no Hako whenever that gets subbed)

Last Year I awarded this to Ghost Hound and then the series was subbed slowly and I forgot about it for the longest time. Well I just finished it today and I am happy to say it definitely met my expectations. The main characters who easily could have turned into stereotypes ended up being developed and real characters. Admittedly I think the story did try to accomplish a bit much and not every thing got the attention it deserved and maybe the ending was a bit rushed but overall I really liked it and would be happy to buy this one if the US industry would ever license it. Anyways I am going to link to bateszi's review of this series because I think he puts things more eloquently then me. The series is compared to Stand by Me and actually I think that is perfect way to describe it because the supernatural/psychological aspect is really just a backdrop to a well done emotional coming of age story
