Winter Anime Season
Not that I want to rush the Winter (I've never been a big fan of the season well the holidays are nice) but for some reason in a season that is notably not very strong I am already interested in 4 series. And I will still be following a bunch of ongoing ones from the fall.
So yeah I know this is a little early since it is only November but it's never too soon to get excited right? Hopefully all these series will live up to my expectations
January Series I am Interested In
Slayers Evolution R Admittedly I wasn't very impressed with the 1st season Slayers Revolution. But I enjoyed earlier Slayers enough to give this the benefit of the doubt that maybe the 2nd half will be stronger. Well actually I am not 100% sure I will follow this on a weekly basis but I do plan to watch it eventually.
Natsume Yuujinchou 2nd Season I've raved about the 1st season on this journal for you to all know that yes I am a huge fan and yes I will definitely be watching this
The Tale of Genji This is what will be replacing Nodame Cantabile in the noitaminA time slot. Although there is a Tale of Genji manga the director Osamu Dezaki says he plans to follow the original classic novel more closely. Besides the fact that I've always been interested in this story (maybe this will finally get me to read the book) Dezaki also directed the 2nd half of Rose of Versailles one of the most amazing series so I think he can handle this type of series.
Hetalia So I only just became interested in this series because Haro made a post asking about it but it seems really cute. From what I understand it personifies countries and makes them very stereotypical (like Russia likes Vodka, Italy likes Pizza) but besides being cute and funny it also has a lot of neat historical and political things tied in (mainly focusing on WWI & WWII). Apparently the fandom pair the countries together LOL
Anyways ochazuki now I finally understand where all those cute flag icons you have are from. XD
On a side note does anyone on my FL know where I can read the manga and where is a good starting point?
And Japan this is a good selection of titles so please don't tempt me with anything else. :D
