Ghost Hunt~Halloween a Little Early

After I watched it I realized it would have been the perfect series for Halloween but I was impatient and ended up watching it now instead of then. :)

If the title didn't get anyone interested the original novels were written by Fuyumi Ono. The same author of Twelve KingdomsAnyways I've been sort of interested in watching this series for awhile ( Read more... )

You were definitely one of those who influenced me to watch it so thank. XD

Is the manga done or close to finished now though? It just seems so incomplete with the way the anime ended. Although if the anime does continue I hope they end it with Naru coming back to Japan and Mai continuing at SPR not with Naru leaving Japan.

Yeah I read everything who Naru really is and who dream!Naru is. I can't stay away from spoilers. XD

Well as for Naru/Mai I like to think that Naru had real feelings for Mai. Mai's feelings I guess are a little more unclear because of the whole dream thing but I would like to believe she will fall for the real Naru too. Of course the novels leave this open. It just makes me sad because well Gene is dead but Mai and Naru are alive.

Ok good, its always easier for me to talk GH when I know ppl know the spoilers XD I spoiled myself long time ago and then finally had lkk-sensei tell me everything while the anime was still on so I never know what excatly I can say to ppl XD

We've seen Naru be nice to Mai, whether he actually changed enough to actually have a relationship is something we'll probably never know. The kid doesnt like people XD Mai's feeling def are very unclear, since we know she loved dream!naru which of course she can never be with (gah the thought of that still makes me sad). My question is whether she is ever able to look at Naru and not see Gene. Yeah Naru doesnt smile but being twins she's always gonna see him when she sees Naru, if Mai was able to get ove this, NaruMai is possible but again, I dunno.

I love debating GH with ppl since its still open, lots of opinions on it and generally people are quite good at relaying there opinions and not going all crazy like most psudo-romance pairings XD

I think Naru is extremely introverted and has a hard time relating to others but is not incapable of love. I feel he probably cares about his friends but has a hard time showing this. But he did smile for Mai that one time right? During the apology scene. And then there was the whole coin thing and he is there for her when she is in trouble. I think he has feelings for her at least.

So did Mai only have feelings for dream!Naru? What about those moments with real Naru? I know Naru thinks Mai is in love with his brother but I am not so sure it is as easy as that. I wonder why she fell in love with Naru? Is it just because of the dream stuff or because of something more and that augmented it. I think maybe Mai was confused herself in the end. Okay well this is just my romantic Mai/Naru mind at work. XD

Naru can be nice, happens once in a blue moon XD I think he chooses to avoid ppl and be on his own if he can. In the beginning back in England it was mostly him and Gene working together, Naru didnt even want Madoka there. But in Japan I think having the others around has helped him in the people department. I think Naru has slight feelings for Mai but I do believe he knows she loves/loved Gene so I dont think he'd act on them for a while if ever.

I think before she found out, her feelings for real!Naru were from her encounters with dream!naru. We saw her blush around real!naru alot during the anime and she even kept asking herself why she was doing it. She thought it really was him so really her feelings were mislead a bit. I think she feel in love with dream!naru first but still liked real!naru cuz of that.

Mai was definitely confused in the end, its one part of the novels that kagedreams actually translated, where Mai finds out about Gene and Naru asks her if she loves him. Its heartbreaking to read since until that moment she ( ... )

I guess for me my favorite Naru/Mai moments were actually between real!Naru/Mai not dream!Naru/Mai even before I knew the whole mystery behind the dream. I will still believe that Mai will fall in love with the real Naru. Of course maybe Fuyumi Ono always wanted it to be a tragic love story.

Yeah I think Fuyumi Ono is just cruel. XD

Hands down my two fav moments from the series are the sewer scene with the coin and when he smiles at her. The sewer scene I saw before I knew the spoilers, by the time he smiled at her I knew them but those two still rank at the top for me. Maybe its cuz dream!naru and Mai's scene were always kinda short, though he did get plently of scene time in the last arc since Naru was down for the count. I loved real!naru and Mai's banter in the later epis, epsc during the Urado arc where she kinda holds her own against him.

I think Ono-sensei never wanted a romance story XD Which is why she's never gonna give us an outright answer. I remember reading somewhere, probably on one of teh GH comms or from Kagedreams that originally the series ended after the first set of novels, with Naru returning to England. She was kinda forced I think into writing White Heart since fans wanted to know what the hell happened btwn Naru and Mai, of course even with that novel set she still never gave an answer XD She is so cruel XD

When I was watching and did not know about Gene I didn't use the dream moments as shipping moments (well besides the fact that she was having dreams about him) because I didn't know if they were real or just her subconscious giving her answers. But the non dream moments were just more powerful to me because they weren't a dream. Naru who really is so introverted and doesn't work so well with people was really kind in those moments. And of course there is the whole calling her Mai thing.

I think Ono-sensei never wanted a romance storyLOL this is probably very true. Her other series 12 kingdoms has pretty much no romance (at least the parts I know of). I don't really mind the lack of romance but she drew me in with the Mai/Naru chemistry and interaction we did get so yeah I guess I wanted more and wished it was resolved differently ( ... )
