After I watched it I realized it would have been the perfect series for Halloween but I was impatient and ended up watching it now instead of then. :)
If the title didn't get anyone interested the original novels were written by Fuyumi Ono. The same author of Twelve KingdomsAnyways I've been sort of interested in watching this series for awhile

Is the manga done or close to finished now though? It just seems so incomplete with the way the anime ended. Although if the anime does continue I hope they end it with Naru coming back to Japan and Mai continuing at SPR not with Naru leaving Japan.

Well as for Naru/Mai I like to think that Naru had real feelings for Mai. Mai's feelings I guess are a little more unclear because of the whole dream thing but I would like to believe she will fall for the real Naru too. Of course the novels leave this open. It just makes me sad because well Gene is dead but Mai and Naru are alive.

We've seen Naru be nice to Mai, whether he actually changed enough to actually have a relationship is something we'll probably never know. The kid doesnt like people XD Mai's feeling def are very unclear, since we know she loved dream!naru which of course she can never be with (gah the thought of that still makes me sad). My question is whether she is ever able to look at Naru and not see Gene. Yeah Naru doesnt smile but being twins she's always gonna see him when she sees Naru, if Mai was able to get ove this, NaruMai is possible but again, I dunno.
I love debating GH with ppl since its still open, lots of opinions on it and generally people are quite good at relaying there opinions and not going all crazy like most psudo-romance pairings XD

So did Mai only have feelings for dream!Naru? What about those moments with real Naru? I know Naru thinks Mai is in love with his brother but I am not so sure it is as easy as that. I wonder why she fell in love with Naru? Is it just because of the dream stuff or because of something more and that augmented it. I think maybe Mai was confused herself in the end. Okay well this is just my romantic Mai/Naru mind at work. XD

I think before she found out, her feelings for real!Naru were from her encounters with dream!naru. We saw her blush around real!naru alot during the anime and she even kept asking herself why she was doing it. She thought it really was him so really her feelings were mislead a bit. I think she feel in love with dream!naru first but still liked real!naru cuz of that.
Mai was definitely confused in the end, its one part of the novels that kagedreams actually translated, where Mai finds out about Gene and Naru asks her if she loves him. Its heartbreaking to read since until that moment she ( ... )

Yeah I think Fuyumi Ono is just cruel. XD

I think Ono-sensei never wanted a romance story XD Which is why she's never gonna give us an outright answer. I remember reading somewhere, probably on one of teh GH comms or from Kagedreams that originally the series ended after the first set of novels, with Naru returning to England. She was kinda forced I think into writing White Heart since fans wanted to know what the hell happened btwn Naru and Mai, of course even with that novel set she still never gave an answer XD She is so cruel XD

I think Ono-sensei never wanted a romance storyLOL this is probably very true. Her other series 12 kingdoms has pretty much no romance (at least the parts I know of). I don't really mind the lack of romance but she drew me in with the Mai/Naru chemistry and interaction we did get so yeah I guess I wanted more and wished it was resolved differently ( ... )
