More Gurren Lagann Issues

Jul 09, 2008 13:07

So yesterday after two Amazon reps assured me that my Gurren Lagann DVD was only being held up by my Toward the Terra order because they are both from Bandai I get an E-mail today that says that Toward the Terra will ship on the 15th and my Gurren Lagann will ship separately on an unknown date.

Really helpful Amazon. The ironic thing is the first guy I talked to was offended when I kept asking him are you sure?

So I basically said screw this, canceled my order and picked it up at the Mall today on my lunch break. It did cost me a few dollars more but at this point I am just happy to have the DVD in my hands. I also could have bought it cheaper at Best Buy which a few people recommended but then it takes me at least a half hour to travel to Best Buy (so an hour up and back) and there is no guarantee that my Best Buy wouldn't be sold out too.

Well I am glad Gurren Lagann is selling well but god Bandai you think you could have at least printed enough to meet all Pre-Orders?

I pray that I don't have this trouble with Toward the Terra next week. Until I use up my Amazon gift certificate I'll have to stick with Amazon, but after this it's RightStuf all the way for me for pre-orders (I might buy my Gurren Lagann 3 from them anyways to be on the safe side). But now as soon as I get home from work I will be able to watch my Gurren Lagann. :D

Bottom Line don't trust Amazon Reps!

On another completely unrelated note I wondered what was the point of having two Star Bucks one block away from each other and then a Dunkin Dounuts another block away near my work. But it amazes me all 3 of these locations are totally busy so the demand for all 3 is actually there. Americans really like their coffee don't they? Not that I should talk because I love it too...and tea of course. And I am totally worse in the summer because I prefer ice coffee to hot coffee. Hot tea and iced tea I like equally.
