Sarah Jane Adventures

So the links did work and I finished the series in 2 days. It would have been 1 day but I had work the next day and I needed to sleep. So yeah I loved it (maybe even more than Doctor Who..at least in some aspects) and I am ecstatic that there is going to be a second season.

I'm sad that it doesn't get nearly the attention that even Torchwood gets and in my opinion it's the better show. I think a lot of people can't look past that it's for kids (actually I've seen this said a few times) which is really a shame. I really wish they would get rid of that "for kids" label. Of course the series is fun for kids but it's fun for adults too. And I never felt the episodes were talking down to me.

So I love Sarah Jane. I liked her a lot before from School Reunion but I think she is such an awesome protagonist. Not married but perfectly content with her life. Part of me likes her with Alan (because he's cool, even beating Donna's granddad as the best parental figure on the series) but than another part of me hopes they keep Sarah Jane single because she is an awesome single character.

And yeah I loved her relationship with Luke (which is what got me interested in watching the series in the first place) I wish there was more of it in the actual series.

Maria is also a really great role model for girls her age. She is just really normal and I love that about her. Clyde is fun too...much better than the girl in the special (yikes, glad they got rid of her).

Although sometimes I think Sarah Jane and Alan are lucky to have such nice teenage kids. You wonder how Maria turned out so well with that crazy mother.

Although there were a few things I didn't like:

* The Slitheen why do they keep bringing them back? They are just annoying. But the final two episodes with them were much better because of the drama it produced.
* K-9 only having a cameo role. :( I heard he is getting his own spin off series but I think they should have kept him on Sarah Jane instead.
* I would have liked more Sarah Jane/Luke scenes.

But anyways I am a self proclaimed Sarah Jane and SJA fan. I need to watch some Classic Who with her. :)

On and unrelated note David Duchovny now has a blog (confirmed to be real by Fox). I left a totally dorky and embarrassing reply. People are asking questions but I can't even think of any that would not be totally stupid. But still I think this is really great that he is opening up like this to the fans. :)
