Sword of the Stranger~Nice Surprise
This was the new Samurai feature film from Bones (released in the FALL of 2007). You know I wasn't even planning on watching this but after hearing a lot of good things about it I thought why not. I mean it is no Rurouni Kenshin:Tsuiokuhen by any means but its an entertaining movie with some really nicely animated sword fights and pretty backgrounds nonetheless. The plot itself is not really that original or special but the relationship between the two main characters is really sweet you can't help but be moved (or at least I couldn't). It's that rare platonic love that I cherish. Oh and I can promise you that Bones does not screw up the ending in the least. In fact I really loved the ending scene. :)
So basically I recommend this movie if you have not already seen it you get nice animation, some nice action scenes, pretty setting, moving relationship, and a satisfying conclusion
Oh and did I mention there is a Lassie (not his name of course but that is what he reminded me of)
And in other good news it is already licensed by Bandai (Bandai has been very good to me this year)
