I spent pratically all night trying to think of the exact right way to tell someone that their husband in another dimensional state and on a quest of learning from the Prophets has found a way to regularly communicate with her. But, I couldn't quite get the right mix of sympathy and excitement down, so I decided I would just tell her flat out

It's good to know that Kassidy will be able to hear my thoughts while I'm away. I miss more than anything just being able to sit and talk with her for hours. Solutions were always more aparent with her company. I'm glad to hear that things are going well at the house. You really should visit, Nerys, you'll love it!

And if Kassidy and Jake can't get hooked up with one of these, at least I'll be able to get updates indirectly.

Kassidy: Please don't worry over the name. I know something perfect will come to you when you see him or her. You'll just have to take my word on this one, okay.

...I know. I miss Odo a lot. I try to tell myself that it was all destiny, that he come to Bajor to learn how to exist as a good person, before taking that back to the Link...but then I just really want to talk with him, and see him in his office.

I'm kind of worried about Jake still. Maybe you could go visit him? Or would that be a bad idea?

I'll try and make time to visit the house. Maybe after the new commander gets here.

I consulted with the Propehts and they said it would be inadvisable for me to visit anyone, at least as a physical presence. But tell Jake that I'm thinking of him all the time and he should help Kassidy name the baby, but he should also head off and have his own life. He doesn't need to feel responsible for what I've left behind because I'll be back to take care of things when the time is right. And tell him that I love him very much.

I got a message from Jake today. I'm trying to type it up right now, as it turns out, they weren't planning on putting anything more than a visual and audio subspace system in the house, so they can't use livejournal on their end, until they get a setup somehow. I'll work on it. I'm sure that we can get the temples to open up the pursestrings for the family of the Emissary.
