Atonement

Tell me when you'll start
To compensate when I felt neglect.
Staring at my seasoned hands
From which I have learned hardwork.

Last on the list, as always.
Silence, I've seen the unfair.
Pair of hands which should have guided me
Was replaced by abandonment when i needed strength.

Mama, i never told you any.
About the scar of this deep wound.
It never healed but I forgave,
I shut myself from the pain of before.

Time. it passed as life did.
Your hair is white,it is never too late.
I've forgotten when i was alone,
Still you reminded me as if was never your own.

You're counting, The time would come.
On your bed you'll utter regret.
About the words you ignore to think,
And the warmth you've never shed.

The voice. You could no longer speak.
But the eyes, honest, they beg and plead.
I waited, I knew it would come.
It was a mistake. Everything is too late.

Tell me when you'll start to compansate.
