LeakyCon Part 1
SQUEEE.
Alright, so i promised myself i would write this as soon as i got home from school today, but now it is already 10pm.
I guess I'll just have to stay up.
Before I start, let me just tell you. LeakyCon was one of the most fun things I have ever been to.
Now let me tell you about it, in chronological order.
Thursday
I woke up at 6 am after going to bed at 3 (because I was packing) so that we could make it to the greyhound bus stop for the 8 am bus. Bus ride took 8-ish hours. Cramped, boring, suckish.
When I got to the hotel (i stayed at the marriot down the street from the boston park plaza, where leakycon took place), my best friend Sophie was waiting for me. We immediately got changed, squeed, and got ready for the opening feast. Then we ran to the boston park hotel.
This was our first harry potter thing ever, first convention, first wizard rock shows, first ANYTHING. we had no idea what it would be like. And boy, was it amazing. I had never met any internet person IRL, so when we started walking towards the castle and we saw John Green, you should have seen our faces. My heart started pounding, and I got wayy too excited.
I just found this picture of us staring, im the one in the hufflepuff colours in the background, sophie is in the slytherin skirt:
Oh yeah, and did I mention that we were at a CASTLE?!?!
Then as we get into the castle, we see the parselmouths setting up on stage. Kristina Horner and Alex fricking Day! Now, let me tell ya, he is pretty good looking on youtube, but in real life, he is GORGEOUS. And Eia. Eia is amazing<3
The castle was decorated with amazing house banners and and it was all incredible.
Anyways, first thing that happened, of course, was that sophie and i embarassed ourselves in front of John Green. So yeah, we were staring at him a little. But then, obviously, some leaky staffer came up to us and said, "Are you looking for something? OH! You are looking at John. Come here, sweeties" and she took our hands and dragged us to John and said,
"These girls were oggling at you."
Can you believe it?! I doubt John remembers us, but still, first time we meet him and that's what he has to hear? I know that the staffer had good intensions...
but then, of course, in my nervous state I said... "We really admire you."
He just kind of looked at us and then said, "...That's...weird."
AHHH! ='[ Can you believe I actually said that?!?! We are so "...weird"
Anyways, then the wrock show started.
Now, I knew that wizard rock wasnt just a bunch of nerds standing on stage singing children's songs.
But never could I have guessed it was this hardcore IRL. Listening to it on itunes is one thing. Wrocking it in real life is another.
Swish and Flick opened, and they were amazing. Some older women (in their 40s?) Threw their bras at Flick, and that was kind of disturbing.
Next, Justin Finch-Fletchley and the Sugar Quills played. I never liked him that much from his recordings, but in real life..he was so hardcore. I'm probably going to use that word a lot. He was just...awesome. <3

The parselmouths played, and they were amazing. I have never seen Brittany perform with them, but Alex Day, I must say, was awesome. At one point they m ade him sing Brittany's parts in What Kind of Name is Hermione?
So when Kristina said: But she hangs around that gorgeous harry potter
Alex had to say: I love him.
It was quite funny.
Draco and the Malfoys also played, but we had to leave before that. Lame, I know.
So, first night: done.
Everything I thought it was gonna be? and more.
Okay, that's all I have time to write about today. Hopefully I will have more time tomorroow, I know it's not much.
