This chapter starts off with a doozy of a comparison. Eragon is coming back to his tent (sauntering actually) when Saphira says that it’s late. She is described as being Beside [the tent] which she lay coiled, sparkling like a mound of azure coals in the dim light of the torches" I... do not think that is the image that you want there. First of all coals don’t sparkle. They may create sparks, but they don’t sparkle. And if Saphira is creating sparks then.... we have an interesting issue. The only time she should be creating sparks is if she’s breathing fire.
She is not.
