There's a polling place at the University where I work. I have on my jacket a "Saxon 08 ready to govern!" button that I picked up at the Dr. Who convention. I'm walking past on my way to the cafeteria to get lunch and ask about how busy it had been. After all on the news they'd been talking about record turn outs.
One of the women working there tells me that it's been steady work and then notices the button. "Is that an election button?" she asks, clearly getting ready to tell me that I can't wear it within a hundred feet of the polls. (Though how anyone would see it in the back office where I have my desk...)
I reassure her that it is, indeed, not for it is for Saxon, a tv character. Still I find myself mightily amused at this for two reasons, one a British citizen running for President. And two, I think the Master would rather burn us Americans to the ground that rule over us as president. Though, now that I think about it, he'd be an excellent president, treating everyone equally and being utterly bi-partisan on his complete and total tyrannical rule over us. Isn't that what everyone wants? A completely equal treatment of everyone? Not only that but he completely admits to being evil. Someone we can trust to tell us the truth!
