Grr to You

The best part of moving out of Marshall is going to be finding at least one other person who is as serious about performing good music as I am. I love all of my bandmates, male and female to death, but I'll be God damned if they can get anything done. I'm trying to decide at this point if I'm even going to play with them. Everyone's telling me the "it's our senior year, we gotta be good" BS but nobody's showing much of an effort to actually buckle down and do it. The parts for the songs the girls are playing are easy on bass anyway, if it gets to me that much I'll probably drop it and they can find someone else. I wouldn't care so much that our practice today was a complete waste of time if I hadn't taken the day off work in order to attend. I basically lost 20 bucks to sit in John's basement and watch everyone else dance while I messed with my phone. I feel a little bit bad because I was angry and nobody really knew what was wrong, but I didn't want to talk about it. I mean, every other time I've had a practice with someone and asked them to actually use the time, they've just ignored me anyway. I don't know why people think I don't take musical stuff seriously, because it's all I do with my time. Maybe if I decide not to take part in what's looking to be a half-assed performance, they'll get my point of view a little better.
