Ok so now i'm gonna bitch like Abi has had to,
finally the book for one of my units has come through so that those of us on the course can get it. Its written by the lecturer, and there were problems with the printing of the latest version. His previous answer was to put 'his' copy in the library for all 60 or so of us. Well just went to pick up the book, its tiny and over £20?? i was dumbfounded as it was wedged between these rather large sociology books that are actually cheaper. Bastard!! Anyway, so me thinks well what about amazon?? Well amazon.com has it used and new for $60!!!!! Probably due to the whole printing thing, fuckers. Amazon.co.uk i can get it for under £20 but with postage it will be over, and i'll have to wait 2to3 weeks to get it sent out??
I hope the bastard isn't making that much money from it, though it seems like a very lucrative prospect. Become an academic, write small crappy books, teach courses twice a year that require them and you have alot of books being bought by students. MMmm money making motherfuckers.
Though i'm suddenly feeling rather psychic, yes, yes a vision is coming through its, its of Abi's future, hint hint hint......What?? i'll do my part but the academic thing would kill me : p
