Ok. So really random thing.
Just went to the cashpoint, wearing what has in the past been referred to as my 'muggers outfit' (not that i agree of course) when i got there, there was a queue. Unfortunatley the one nearest me wasn't working. The woman infront asked everyone where the nearest cashpoint would be, I said London Rd and started heading that way, she caught upto me as she was in a hurry and before i knew it i'd become a guide. She told me she reminded me of her step-son, i looked at her ??. She didn't look much older than me maybe around 30? usual kinda towny appearance, white 'leapoard skin' coat blonde hair high heels etc, but not unattractive. Her step son by the way is 19 and at uni, he took her to the Hobbit recently. Why she was telling me this i do not know, but she seemed to be looking for common ground.
She phoned her husband, to let him know where she was, he'd had already bought her drinks and was waiting in the lizard lounge. She asked me if i'd help her get back and i agreed. I was headed that way anyway. We got to london road, queued, used a cash point and then headed back. She was in a hurry, so was i and the quickest way back was past the orange rooms. I wondered about talking her through the cut through, me looking like a mugger an all. On the way she said she must buy me a drink to say thank you, i said i had to get home. So she passed me a note and said i'd have to get one later then. Anyway, the general random chat continued and i apologised for taking her through the 'backstreets', she said 'well i trust you' ?? and 'if i'd gotten worried at any point i'd have taken off my stiletto and stabbed you in the eye' I laughed 'that'd stop you' she said, and i agreed that a stilletto in the eye would pretty much stop me.
I got her to the bar, and tried to give the note back, she wouldn't take it and said thankyou to me for looking after her. I wished her well and left.
So all in all a very random experience, and i earned £20? not sure what kinda drink she was expecting me to buy with it, but i'm not complaining. Not a bad earner considering i didn't have to do anything i hadn't planned on doing, didn't even have to walk out of my way.
