Creativity Night a Success!

Well, last night we had Creativity Night and it was a success! Nighteyes_70 was nice enough to lend his pad for the gathering. Several people showed up to converse, graze over the wonderful food concoctions that everyone brought and then sat down for some expression of pure creativity. We had candles a plenty lit to help get the juices flowing and maintain a creative atmosphere. I taught myself how to draw some manga (note the avatar), Nighteyes_70 painted a cool abstract, Innana Astrea painted a cool dragonfly pic, Wren painted some ceramic animals (though she wouldn't let us draw a catfong on her kitty cat) Lynn and Heather started knitting projects and Josh and Melissa (assisted by their son) made some cool ghosts out of some household ingredients and then painted them. It was a good time and we may just have to do that again. I think everyone really enjoyed the time to just sit back with friends and be creative.

I returned home today to confront Alex about the state of our relationship. It turns out he really wants us to try one more time to save the relationship. We had a really productive talk and have decided to seek a couples councilor within the next few weeks. I think it will be good for us if we are to save things. After about three months we'll re-evaluate things and see if this we can salvage things or if we need to part ways. I'm not sure how this will go but I feel I owe it to us after 9 years together to try. We shall see and in the meantime I'll hope for the best...whatever that may be.
