*GRINS* Welcome to the land of culture, or, the land of people being able to pretend they have culture ;) LOL! It;s so nice to hear you and your hubby are sharing some interests in the Brit side of life, plus, I could listen to David Attenborough narrate the damned phone book!

And it's not over yet! Now I'm wondering if I should pick up some Agatha Christie, or maybe finally check out Downton Abbey. The biggest tell that this is serious? We're investing in a region-free disc player!

Oh wow, you are seriously in love with us, huh? LOL! Don't get too close, we tend to spread queue induced grumps if you do ;)

Heehee, you pseudo-Brit, you!

I love that you've been watching David Attenborough; he really is a national treasure here. I've adored him ever since his first major TV series, Life on Earth, in 1979, and my respect for him has just grown ever since. He's in his 90's now, and there will be a serious wake in our house when he eventually does shuffle off this mortal coil!

And as you know, I love Shakespeare, Harry Potter, Doctor Who and Torchwood too :)

We may just be a damp little island with a bit of an unhealthy tea fixation, but us Brits, we can spin a decent yarn when we want to :)

My husband actually looks for Attenborough's name on documentaries now!

I also see what you meant about Tennant as Doctor Who, he was great. I kind of wish Eccleston had more than one season, but I can't argue with who followed him!

One of these days before I die, I'll have a properly made cup of British tea, and finally learn the difference between that and the stuff we drink over here.

Hee hee, we're reverse here! Most of the shows we watch are American, from Arrow, The Flash and SPN to The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Preacher! And on my 'to watch' list is Sons of Anarchy. Although we did watch an Agatha Christie story recently, Crooked House, which was excellent. Glenn Close did a great English accent!

And of course I have to watch everything David Attenborough does, his latest The Blue Planet was absolutely stunning. Enjoy your British Invasion!

Oh, you watch The Walking Dead, too? I love that show! I've never sat down for Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy, and I know I'm missing out, but I've just never gotten around to it.

There's another bit of quality British literature I have to try out, Agatha Christie. I haven't read her since Murder on the Orient Express, I really should check out the rest of her stuff.

The Blue Planet is the one we're watching now (well, I watch, he falls asleep). It's great!

I've watched TWD from the beginning, and have a love/hate relationship with it, especially the last episode!

I went through a lot of Agatha Christie books when I was younger, they are perfect beach holiday reading. I never liked Poirot, as he's so pompous and annoying, so avoided those books!

There's a new documentary series on the BBC called Big Cats, which is amazing, with stunning photography and lots of cute - and deadly - big cats!

There is nothing more soothing than a British voice. My BFF sent me Stephen Fry reading Sherlock Holmes. It's like hearing the audio equivalent of warm caramel.

I've heard Fry on my Jeeves & Wooster DVDs (and now I'm really starting to wonder about how many British shows I have on my DVD shelf). Him narrating something sounds wonderful.

It is. He does all the voices without being "showy" about it.
