So I'm walking to the bus stop on Merivale, when from behind me, I hear, "Excuse me." I turn around, and there's this guy, and he offers me a cell phone for ten bucks. I say no thanx. I reach the bus stop, and he keeps walking, so he passes me, and then pauses to ask, "Need anything else? Weed?" Again, I say no. He keeps going. I check the bus schedule; nothing's coming anytime soon, so I head off again. Buddy's now about fifty feet in front of me, and I watch him ask the same question to everyone he encounters. Now, it's a pretty safe bet that the phone was probably stolen, but what's with the wandering down a busy but not very pedestrian-populated street in mid-morning in broad daylight, offering random people weed? I mean, I've never actually bought drugs, so I don't know how it normally works, but this just struck me as odd, and not the most efficient thing ever, so... what the hell? Am I right? Is this weird? Or is that just the way it is? Does anybody have a clue?
wtf,
