when all is done it must begin again

I was playing Halo 2 once, waiting to respawn, and I got to thinking. In most FPS games, you charge in to battle guns blazing until someone shoots you. Then, you wait ten seconds or so, and you're brought back to do it again. In most fighting games, you continuously get killed or smashed to pieces, but then you just pop back into existence. It's kind of like some strange version of Valhalla.

I'm stuck on the song "Freya" in GH2, and it got me to thinking about that again. If Valhalla is real, do they update the battles they have there? I mean, it'd kind of be odd if they still were using axes, swords, spears and whatnot. Still, people don't charge into battle in massive hordes anymore. Is Asgard infinite? Otherwise there might not be enough room. The halls and doors are supposed to be really wide there, so they wouldn't have much trouble getting tanks through. It'd be kind of a disappointment to only fight in modern warfare, so it'd be nice if they could choose to fight old school for awhile. Maybe everyone signs up for a certain era at the beginning of the day. What about futuristic combat though? Could they use lightsabers, disintegrators, and needlers? They haven't been invented yet, but the ideas have been conceived. There's no reason why they couldn't come up with them. Then again, is it even bound by time at all? Perhaps it has always had every form of warfare conceivable anywhere.
