Hey, I still have an LJ!

Sometimes I favor the Facebook more and neglect LJ. I need to stop doing that. Maybe someone will invent an app that sends all of your status stuff to LJ like the Twitterers have.

So, anyway. One of my podcasts spoiled the ending to Knowing to me. Really? Really?!?
I now have even less reason to see this. Nicholas Cage being reason #1 and all.

Work is going fine, same as always. We moved offices recently. I'm now in Kendall Square. The office space is a lot smaller, but the amenities outweigh that. I'm hoping to leverage the smaller space to get a regular Work-From-Home thing one day a week (or Xbox Day as I would call it).

American Idol is a huge bust for me this season.
Mainly because I hate Hate HATE the current 'leading contestant'. Yes, I hate Adam Lambert. Why do I hate him?

1. He's a total plant. He's probably on the show because of some behind-the-scenes deal between his agent and one of the show's producers. If he had to go through the same audition process that everyone else did, I'll eat my hat.

2. The concept of American Idol is to find the 'best undiscovered talent'. Someone who has had a career on stage already does not count as 'undiscovered'. I don't even think people who've had a real record release should be allowed on either (I'm looking at you Carly Smithson).

3. He does the same exact thing every week. Usually when someone does something exactly the same every week, the judges call them out on it. When Adam does it, they call it 'brilliant'. He's not a genius, he just shrieks a lot. He's this season's Sanjaya, but with a 'cool', 'current' look. The producers are even marketing him to the same demographic... These days teenaged girls like their musicians non-threatening and super gay.

4. I hope he did gay porn in his past and it comes to light soon. The Judges Save is gone, so we can get rid of him now.

I also really dislike Glasses McDeadWife (zero personality and boring/predictable to watch) and Lil' Talent (one trick pony - the audience even got sick of her Hard Luck Story, so they stopped bringing it up).

The remaining folks are alright, nothing I'd probably listen to though.
