Question Month - Round 4: Living Spaces, Sunsets, Websites, and Change

Here goes the fourth round o' questions for March's Question Month...

liquid_wayno asks:

I know you traded apartments a coupla months ago.. are you happy/content living there in the same building? What's the biggest difference at the new place vs. the old one (other than the extra space)?

Wayne, I'm fucking nuts about my new apartment. Had I known there was a space this nice when I moved into my original unit I never would have agreed to pay the same rent. My old apartment should be rented for $100 less. It's dark, attached to the patio of a dopey, loud, and rather rude salon, and it has a wall heater that pretty much kills trying to put furniture in the room in a logical way.

The new place is open, airy, pretty damn quiet (considering I have a neighbor upstairs). It has more room and it's just perfect for my needs. Now, it still doesn't have a garbage disposal or a dish washer but I've gotten to where I'm used to not having them and I don't mind. I signed a year lease a handful of months ago and I'm really happy here. You'll have to check it out next time you're in town.

celtbear3 asks:

What time is sunset on a clear spring day?

whataruckus asks:

Why did you start up your Kingfuraday site and "where" are you now with it?

Yeesh, I started writing down the history of kingfuraday before I realized that isn't what you asked - I'm so quick to go on and on about it whenever I think someone is interested to hear.  I started the site because I wanted to share with people what my physical definition of a bear was.  More precisely, I wanted to post pics of men I thought were hot up on the net because I thought it'd be something other people might dig.

Right now the site is on hiatus.  It has been for over a year.  But I haven't stopped it.  I'm lucky enough to have it on a free server again and I doubly lucky to have someone working on a new version of it (when he's able to).  With my job status in the air, I might just play with a bit before I fully relaunch.  But believe me when I tell you this.  Kingfuraday Version 2.oh! is on its way.

I personally consider it a "granddaddy" bear site - one of the "originals" - I visited everyday back in tha day. But with the advancements with webdesign and social networking sites, it got left behind. Do you feel you help contribute to the evolution of those sites?

I don't feel my site was left behind at all really.  I feel like I wasn't motivated or inspired by the idea of the site and I slowly pulled my creative energies away from that (And if that's what you mean by social networking leaving it behind then yes, you're right).  All these other things pulled me away from the site.  I firmly believe that when I relaunch there will still be interest in my particular brand of bear entertainment.  But who's to say?  Maybe Facebook has robbed people from the desire to see free pics of naked dudes.

As far as contributing to the evolution of sites?  Well, I don't know really.  I've never given it much thought and when I have I like to think that I've helped more with the evolution of lives than sites.  What brings me happiness from the website is knowing from the handful of people who have told me - that their lives changed because they went to the site.  They found out they weren't alone.  They found out that being gay and living their life in the open could be done because they saw me and my friends doing it.  I don't think I realized that possibility when I first made the site.  But when it was made known to me it quickly became all that mattered.  These days, between Facebook, MySpace, MTV, LJ - there's tons of places to find out you're not alone.  So maybe the naked dude part will take over the focus of my efforts :-)

fuzzbelly asks:

What part of your life are you most resistant to change?
or
What part of your life are you the most receptive to change?

The answer to both of these is exactly the same: Being single...
