There is life outside your apartment
Yesterday I got up before 8am. It was a risky move, I admit it. Getting up before noon on a weekend? But I figured I'd go for it. In my defense, I was getting up early to have an 8am massage. So I was almost sleeping. In fact, having someone rub on ya sans clothing for an hour or so while you're half asleep is reason enough to move laying down locations.
From there I went back home and played some video games and putzed a bit before meeting up with bearxxl for some sushi at Zensei. Hadn't seen John in over a week so it was really nice to catch up with him. We invited Kevin and Michael to join us for a walk to Balboa Park but Mike wasn't able to make it. Kevin joined and that was great. Hadn't seen him or Mike in about month. We decided to take the canyon trail that crosses the 163 and then parallels it before looping up to the 6th avenue side of the park. It was an excellent day for it. Beautiful blue skies and warm temps. Just an awesome time. And everything is so green right now (we get about a month of green each year before our desert conditions kick back in). I took a bunch of pics of us walking around:
From the park we walked back to my place and said goodbye to Kevin. John and I went and picked up bigkid and sluggobear and joined a bunch of the guys up in La Jolla at the glider port to watch the sunset. Again, just a beautiful day for it and so relaxing. Great evening to take photos too. We wrapped up the evening with dinner at Brians' and then a super relaxing soak in Nick and Rob's hottub...
It was one of those days that reminds me how lucky I am living here in San Diego and having the folks in my life that I do...
