When Aprils Attack
It's Tuesday...
I had a decent weekend really. I think I spent a little too much time on my own but if anything that made last night's shift at the bar more enjoyable as I was looking forward to being around folks after a loner weekend.
On Friday I stopped by to see
sluggobear,
maverick1303, and the visit
profkampf. We were all sorta in the mood to see a movie so I brought
bearxxl along and after some back and forthing we decided on the time tested classic, Meatballs (I think Mikey had never seen it before and it had been a while for John as well). It's one of my all time favorites so I was up for seeing it again. It was a nice, mellow, cuddly night and a great alternative to going to the bar. I gave Matt and Mikey parting gifts of my extra copies of Meatballs and The 5th Element and Matt hooked me up with a d/l copy of a show that I am insanely crazy about which I took home to make a copy of for myself.
On Saturday I wasn't in a hurry to do much of anything. The weather was sorta blah too. I ended up diving into my closet and really going through all the crap in it and throwing out a LOT. I also came away with three bags of clothes to donate and two bags of clothes to toss (on top of two or three more bags of trash). Just so much garbage. I also went through some other drawers of clothes and got rid of more stuff. My next job will be to go through the cupboards in the kitchen and bathroom and do the same. I didn't feel like going to LLBear at all so I stayed in and just watched TV, played Rock Band, some WoW - stuff like that.
On Sunday I slept in and then walked to the bank. Yes, my life is that exciting. I'm trying to avoid driving whenever I can because it's so damn expensive to fill the tank of my car. I got home and did some more cleaning and bowed out of going to the Hole for a beer. Instead I watched Blood Diamond (not bad) and The Host (totally fun and worth seeing for sure). I also called Tivo to cancel out (I have HD TV and can't afford an HDTivo right now) and they talked me into sticking around by giving me 5 months of free service. So I moved my Tivo into my bedroom and I have to say - I could soooooo get used to that... hehe.

Last night at the bar was good. A lot of the guys came in and it felt like old times with friends hanging out and having a few drinks and shots n' stuff. Was good to have Matt back in the land of the living for sure.
Today has been a decent day at work. I had words with with someone (and that'll probably be posted with a filter or two at some point) but good things came of it.
Let's see, here's some random stuff...
Yes, those are my main WoW toons and yes I am a geek. But you already knew that, didn't you?
Oh man, I almost forgot. My cat Isaac totally owned me over the weekend. I was sitting on the couch and he went to sort of jump up my chest and onto the back of the couch. Well, here's the thing. His claws are way way overdue to be clipped (my bad) and the jump he made was not a normal Isaac move. So he sorta of scrambled and latched onto my shoulder with a full spread of all five claws. And he dug in - deep... I basically flipped and was like Ow!!! which of course is not a good idea because that just made Isaac flip all the more and he went into full on claws out spaz mode. He pretty much notched my nose, cheek, lip, and my right hand really good. I sorta tossed him across the room to get him off of me and we had a nice time out for the rest of the evening. As of today we're on good speaking terms and tomorrow he is totally getting those suckers clipped. Here's the damage:

bentwright will be in town and crashing... Will be good to get to hang out with him - Yaay!
