I got to play Rock Band for the first time. I did some singing, some geetar playing and some drumming. I love 'em all. Drumming is hot and requires thought and I will be able to play on something about easy or medium some day. But like I tell folks who try to lambada all up on my business on the dance floor - I am very white, I dance to my own beat, and syncopation is not my friend so just be aware... Yeah, the off beats can be tricky and the kick drum is not a friend of the tall man. Played it with a bunch of doods and we ate a HUGE pizza that was tasty. Thanks to

danlmarmot for letting us borrow their band.
sluggobear also turned me onto Lumines which is as close as I've ever come to being in one of those gooey pools of ambiotic fluid like in the Matrix. Wow - have you seen the episode of Star Trek TNG where little Will Crusher has to defeat this person who has the entire Enterprise strung out on this virtual reality headset game that rewards the pleasure centers of the brain? Well, yeah - that's Lumines... it's delicious and I ordered Lumines Plus for my PS3...
Oh - What's that you say? Hmmm? A PS3? Yes, I have one of those... I went to Best Buy with the idea of getting an air filter thingy yesterday and came home with a PS3, The Orange Box (Portal), Paprika, Disney Rat Movie, and a Silversun Pickups album. I named my PS3 Rationalized because that's how it came to be in my possession. It's delicious and I love Portal. I'm going to download Super Puzzle Fighter II tonight (it's HD and spicy and one of my fav games of all time) so if yer on PS3 you can play that with me. My network handle is Beardumb but I haven't really done anything along those lines yet beyond setting up my account and downloading the newest trailer for Wall E. I will say that Bluray is the HD equivalent of Viagra... total geek wood, blood pressure on the rise, and the desire to make fuck with my plasma tv. wiN! Blame

Part of my rationalization had to do with working at the bar on Saturday night. I was working for the main Sat bartender at the front station on the inside bar. Most o' the bears were out doing other things (LLBear, Truck Stop, IBR, etc) so it was a bit dead. The back bartender ended up leaving at 11:45 or so (long story that won't be told here) and I rolled solo with just a barback the rest of the night. Which would have been fine if not for two things (sorta 3 things)... 1) The bar exploded at 12:30am - lots of people... 2) my register had issues twice... So yeah, I was going non-stop from about 12am 'til close... but it was fun and
maverick1303 was there to keep me sane and my barback Trevor was totally kicking ass. So yeah, not too bad. And I made some good cash.
On Sat I played WoW with the Blood Elf Clan of the Geek Bears and that was a lot of fun... WoW is so the 70s equivalent to those Calgon commercials for housewives that needed bathtub masturbation time... World of Warcraft take me away!

I visited with my Mom, Grandparents, and my Uncle, his son, and his wife on Sunday. It was nice. Grandma is doing really well. She still gets tired but she looked a lot better. She didn't even remember my visiting her in the hospital. I'm worried about her but also thankful that she's back with us. They are looking to move to Laguna Woods (a retirement community there called Leisure World) and my Grandfather is going to give me his old receiver, record player, and reel to reel player along with his pre-WWII record collection and tons of reel to reel stuff he's collected when they move. I'm am super stoked to dig into this. Reel to reel? Hells yes!
Last night the bar was slow (dead) but Jeremy stopped by to BS some and then
jpinsd came in as well (with
cavbear28 joining in later too). I had been talking with
onethsndwords earlier in the day (we had lunch) and he's gonna help me with making Kingfuraday.com v2.0 happen. For the record - Mike is a fucking rock star - just so you know. JP is going to be HUGE is making this happen too. I won't get into it too much but if yer a fan of my site you are gonna F'ing flip at what I have planned. All the heart and soul and smut but biggerstrongerfastermeatierfatandsassier than ever before. Tell yer friends and neighbors. Kingfuraday v2.0 - Bigger Than Jesus...Strong Like Bull...
