Evidence and What Followed...

It's been a bit of a lazy weekend I gotta say.  Some nice, casual type activities.  I headed out to PECs on Friday night and went with mixed drinks...  I dunno if I've blogged this before but there are two kinds of nights for me.  The first night is if I drink beer.  If I drink beer I have a fine time and then I get bored and then I go home - this usually takes about 90 minutes.  If I drink mixed drinks I have a fine time, entertain myself and the troops, and generally close the bar.  So yeah, Friday I drank mixed drinks...  I also grabbed
pinner123's camera and had some fun with it:

I should say we all had some fun with it because me,
jpinsd,
pinner123, and newly made San Diegan Chuck (from Sea) had a lot of fun being silly and flirting with cute boys (and each other).  Here's a nice one of how sisters tend to react to the nakedness of one another:

So yeah, good times were had.  I spent a lot of Saturday recovering from those good times in fact.  I did manage to pull myself together enough to head over to my buds Gary and Bob's pad to watch Ocean's 13 and The Family Guy Star Wars Ep (at last!).  They have one of those huge, wall-sized projection screens so it's a neat place to watch movies.  The flick wasn't even all that bad considering what a stinker 12 was.  Got to see some friends and seeing Bob and Gary is always nice.  I came on home and just plain old crashed...

Today I spent a lot of the day wrapping presents.  I put Elf on (a new tradition for me Elf+wrapping presents) and the time went by pretty quickly.  I still have a few presents to wrap but I'll get those done tomorrow.  I also watched the series finale of Extras on HBO - WOW, what an excellent end to a decent series.  I mean really, the speech Ricky Gervais' character gives... spot on and just plane awesome.  Couldn't have asked for more from a series that so often made me so uncomfortable I could barely watch!

Chip and
rrumm had invited me by to watch a movie and relax and I did just that.  They had a few friends over and I just had the best time watching (wait for it) It's a Wonderful Life all the way through for the first time ever.  I have to admit, it's not as horrid as I had made it out to be in the comments of other folks' posts.  It's not a fav of mine for sure, but I can really see why people like it so much.  After that we watched Holiday Inn which is basically the movie Bing Crosby made with the song White Christmas in it but that was bogged down by it's clunky plot and (eek!) blackface musical number which I'm pretty sure lead to it being made (in a sense) again as White Christmas but this time he gets to play the guy who doesn't want to settle down with Danny Kaye co-starring instead of Fred Astaire...  Anyhow, you take 5 gays and 1 woman watching this flick and good times will be had.  It was sort of a Mystery Gay Theater 2007 if you will.  Good times...

So now I'm home and I think I'm just gonna cuddle on under my flannel sheets and enjoy not having to go to work tomorrow morning.  Matt and I will be working at PECs tomorrow night so come on in and have a drink with us and if you're really daring you can ring in Christmas at midnight as well.

If I don't post again before Tuesday, have a wonderful Christmas Holiday y'all...

friends, life, me, christmas
