Disney - April Adventure #2
This last Sunday some of us headed up North to hit Disney (right in the face). For me and bearxxl, it was out second trip in a week - we're mad crazy disney losers like that. Anyhow, after stayin' the night at my Mom's condo (Mom was in town so it was great to see her) I met up with John and his pal Gary just as they were entering MK (that's disney-geek-speak for the Magic Kingdom).
Ok, I'm not gonna throw down a total day recap but will instead say that we were joined by braddumm and his handsome partner Ty, Mike and Rod, sluggobear, and the guy who puts the Nice in nicetattoocub, Joe. It was a different group of folks and the dynamic was enjoyable. Always fun sharing Disney with new people. CA was a lot more crowded than MK this time around. In fact, by the end of the day John, Gary, and I had surplus Fast Passes for Indy as the lines were down to 15 minutes by around 8pm making them useless. In fact, just about everything was a walk-on minus Space Mountain and the Matterhorn.
Highlight this time around without a doubt was riding Thunder Mountain at around 11:40pm with Joe, Gary, and John. We got on, noticed the line was even short so got back in line and road again. As the train came into the station we noticed only a handful of people waiting to get on. So we just stayed on... and then stayed on again... and again. We road that fucker five times in a row and it was a blast. There were about 10 other people doing the same thing and each time the train left the station we'd all give a cheer. The last time we shouted "Five in a Row! Five in a Row!" I think we would have gone all night had it not been for the station worked announcing that the park had closed and it was time to head home (or shop).
Anyhow, had an excellent time even if I felt like a zombie on Monday. It was totally worth it. I loves me some Disney. Buying that big boy pass this year was a damn good idea.
