Home from the Oscars

Tonight if you weren't a lesbian or at least looked like one then you weren't having fun - unless you're jack nicholson because when yer stoned 24/7 fun is turned up to 11.

Anyhow, went over to Chip's tonight to watch the big show with some gays. It was mighty fun. I probably wouldn't have even of watched this year as I'm way behind on my awards show movies (I've seen Little Miss, Children of, Showgirls, and Pan's only) so I didn't have much to route for. Having now watched the show I can say that The Departed, The Queen, Notes on a Scandal, Babel, Little Children, Half Nelson, and An Inconvenient Truth have all been added to my to do list.

I thought it was cool how Hudson's knocker went from singing backup to almost stealing the show. Points to her for pulling her dress up when they transitioned from the first song to the second.

Diane Keaton gets the crazy points this year.

The Director of the show REALLY screwed up when he put the lesbian musical number on right after the old folks home musical number (Cars and An I. Truth) - that was a snore.

Let's see - Leo will have his day, he's still a puppy and gets better with age. Kate W. will have her day as well. She's lovely and I'm always routing for her.

Children of Men - that was a shame. Excellent movie...

What was up with the german foreign film winner just about rubbing his butt on del Toro's head? Insult to injury says I.

And the winner is...

Ellen Degeneres. She rocks and her deadpan scenes with Clint Eastwood and Marty S. were classic. Honorable mention goes to Meryl Streep for her smile and that great look she gave her co-stars when they were doin' their schtick for costume design.

Ok - that's my Oscar post... Carry on!
