Look what is being released on DVD on February 6th:
I can remember watching this over and over and over when I was in elementary school. Quoting bits, doing horrible impressions of Eddie, and reveling in the gross-out factor of the poop and fart jokes. I actually downloaded a copy of it about 10 years ago and had forgotten that while the show is damn funny it's also insanely dated and very UNpc - most notably all the faggot jokes and Eddie saying how he'd rather not have his girlfriend party with gay men because she might "come home with AIDS on her lips". But hey, he was a dopey 22 y/o kid when he wrote the bits and considering what a bore he is now I can roll with humor at the expense of my gayness.
But that's also not the point I'm trying to make here. I fucking loved this live recording. Eddie Murphy at the top of his game -- the family reunion, the mom with her shoe, the ice cream man, who would make "funny faggots", Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, pussy, crazy girl friends, and on and on and on.
Will be fun to check it out again after all these years...
