Working from Home Leads to Rewatchable Movie Watching

Jan 11, 2007 17:05

They're installing an a/c unit at work so our area is kinda a mess.  I've just told everyone to work from home but I might just sack it up and go in tomorrow and survey the damage.  I feel disconnected having been out sick and then working from home.

On the plus side, I did watch The Secret of My Success (talk about the ultimate bloatedly awesome 80s movie ever--score to Tivo for recording it for me) and The Money Pit while doing reports and sitting on conference calls.  TV and work - two great tastes that go great together.  Those two flicks are easily in my top 20 most rewatchable movies of all time list.  Hmmm, I like that...  Off the top of my head, the 20 most rewatchable movies of all time that I can think of in the here and now (ok, 21):

21 The Secret of My Success
20 Friday
19 Camp
18 The Lost Boys
17 The Princess Bride
16 Raiders of the Lost Ark
15 Blazing Saddles
14 Clerks
13 Girls will be Girls
12 The Money Pit
11 Go!
10 Waiting for Guffman
09 Sixteen Candles
08 Star Wars
07 Office Space
06 Hairspray
05 Coal Miner's Daughter
04 Alice in Wonderland
03 The Goonies
02 Auntie Mame
01 Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Honorable Mention goes to The Young Ones for being the single most rewatchable TV show for me (hmm, okay, mini rewatchable TV list):

05 Seinfeld
04 The Brady Bunch
03 The Simpsons
02 I Love Lucy
01 The Young Ones

Rewatchable for me means I watch them before I go to bed on DVD (fall asleep to them) or I have them on in the background why I do other things--or I watch the whole darn thing through.  Friday would be an example of a movie that I love the first half of so it could possibly be omitted to make an even 20.

So what films make the list for you?  Are you a rewatcher or is once or twice plenty?  TV shows too?

(PS - My Tivo keeps trying to record Gillmore Girls for me - tell it to stop!)

tv, random, movies
