I thought I would give you folks a real treat and update you on my fast paced exciting life. It has been one crazy ride lately. My days mostly consist of doing jack shit. I still have no job, but some how I seem to keep myself remarkably busy. Right now I am waiting for the phone to ring and for someone to offer me a job. I am actually expecting a call back by today from a CPA firm that I interviewed with last week. Last Thursday was a second interview and they took me out to lunch. I think it went well, so I am kind of expecting something to come of it, but if it doesn't I will understand why and I won't be too disappointed. If I don't get this job, it will be on to a really intense job search. I will just start calling companies out of the phone book if I have to. I will eventually get a job.
In the meantime, my uncle owns a painting business and when he needs help he calls me, so I have painted a few days. A little extra income never hurt. At the rate I am going, I will blow through my entire money supply soon. I see a lot of movies. Yesterday I saw The Manchurian Candidate. Tonight I will probably see Collateral. I have seen probably one movie or more per week this summer. I saw all of the ones I wanted to see except the Village which I was told really sucked. But I might still see it.
Last night I went to Reno for maybe two hours, probably less, then came home. I got a call from a friend at about 5:30 saying he had a top secret mission in Reno and he asked me if I would ride with him up there and I said sure because I have no job and nothing to do. So we left at like 7. We completed the mission which seemed like a really crazy idea that was destined to fail, but it all worked out. We went up there because my friend had to ask someone a question that was too important for the phone. The problem was, the person was up in Reno for Hot August Nights which is this big show of old restored cars and hot rods and stuff and we didn't know how to find him. Well, we got up there, found out where people were staying for this deal then went looking for the guy. There were a lot of people up there and it was almost a miracle that we found him with hardly any trouble and the mission was a success. Then we stopped off and got some food at boomtown and I drank some beers so as to provide entertainment for the ride home and I got home at about 1:30 in the morning. It was a great adventure.
Last weekend I went to San Jose and Exeter, which is in the middle of the state in the central valley and the middle of nowhere. Joel from FMA lives in San Jose now so I met up with him then we went down to Exeter to see our good friend Garth off because he is going into the Navy tomorrow. It was a good weekend.
So that is my life. I am happy, healthy, and still extremely good looking and handsome, which will probably never change. All of you folks feel free to call me anytime and if you are ever up in the Sacramento area, look me up. I will be doing what I do.
