Star Trek Tonight! wooooooooooooooo!
Playwrighting Group was neat last night- I read my new piece, which went over really well. They pointed out that the two female characters sound older than I'd indicated they were in the character list- and I agree. I think I forced Violet younger since I wanted to write it with Susan in mind. Now I'm thinking I'll make Susan Iris, the daughter, and write the main rôle with Lynn Cohen as a mental archetype.
Elana was very pleased with the piece, since it wasn't about robots or aliens or time travel or fantasy. She didn't go so far as to use the words "grown up" or "mature", but that's what I inferred.
Am very annoyed that I came up with a great title for the piece the other day and didn't write it down and now I've forgotten what it was. I know it was a line from a song that I was singing the other day- possibly one of the ones that was on my ipod?. I know it's a classic song, something about "seeing" or "blindess" in the line*. It's killing me. Right now I have the working title "The Reader", which I don't care for. I just have to hope it comes back.
Ken read a revised first scene from the play he was sketching out during his 35-page no-tech-cues break in Admit Impediments. Good stuff; I can't want to read more and find out where it's going.
And, apparently I could drink 139.67 cups of coffee before
caffeine poisoning set in. Thanks

Oh, and one of the girls in
alexlady's show was the one I really liked (and
actress_in_nyc thought was annoying) from Lesbian Bathhouse! Coincidence!? Yes.
* no, not "Amazing Grace".
